Constantine Skourlis invites ANFS - 28/07/2022

The centennial podcast of this series is brought to us by Morah. At some point in his career, the dark prince of Athens and resident of the Phormix label and event series achieved a unique and iconic status with his unconventional take on gritty electronic music that transcends genres. The first time we experienced this in the flesh was in the old Griessmuehle location on the Sonnenallee in 2019 and were blown away.

Whether it was his debut release on Helena Hauff's label, or the many life-changing performances over the years that are well-documented, his body of work speaks for itself as he graces labels such as Berceuse Heroique, Vanila, Brokntoys, Lux Rec, and most recently on Body Musick as well as a self-released album called Zesta. He's captained the Phormix event series as a resident and is a core part of the Athens crew whose label boasts some of the most exciting releases coming out. He's added another time-lasting performance to his list during the most recent DT Camp two weeks ago. It should be no surprise that we invited him as a special guest for our ADE event together with Pinkman Records on October 19th and can't wait 

These are trying times for all with many significant global events taking place almost daily. With this as the backdrop, we hope this series has brought some enjoyment. Thank you very much to the artists that have contributed to the series over the last two years and to the listeners for tuning in every week. We look forward to seeing all of you on the dance floor. @aysh3l is a young DJ based in Athens. Her selections are located somewhere between tribal beats, hypnotic melodies and industrial sounds. Her sets are mostly based on industrial , through a constant exploration of dark and aetherial atmospheres, while also trying to bridge her metal music origins with techno and electro elements.

She is also 1/2 of Waiting Room, an ongoing project about the transformation of the [non] act of waiting into a [ritualistic] process, through the medium of electronic music , always trying to merge her backgrounds in DIY culture and club spaces, while also being on the lookout for new musical experiences.

@ekatamusic is a London based DJ/Producer + @naturalselectionlondon Resident who has become a prominant and well respected artist in the Electro scene.

In 2022, she was selected as one of the new faces of @tresorberlin in Berlin, which saw her play an Electro set in the prestigious cage back in September.
She has also played at the likes of Meraki, Fold + @hoerberlin and she has a well recieved release on highly esteemed Avoidant, the Electro sub label of Soma records under her belt. 

With 5 more releases planned this year on some of her favourite Electro labels aswell as debut shows in Paris this spring, she's set to flourish further in 2023.

EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for purist Electro and an artist that orchestrates a dark and warped experience that brings energy to the dancefloor with her meticulous signature style. Her sound best personifies ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections. ⚙️✨🛸

For April episode, Entropy 熵 is excited to have @yearsofdenial as the special guest. Years of Denial will have their debut Asia live tour this coming June, with our 5 year anniversary party at @mihnclub Hong Kong as their first stop in Asia, followed by additional stops at Volnost Seoul, Loopy Hangzhou, and Elevator Shanghai. Their fresh new album on Veyl Records, Sucide Disco, is a masterfully combination of industrial music, Techno, and dark poetry. Their sound was once compared to something like Eurythmics meets Chris & Cosey with a techno twist. Unaffected by the current trend of fast bpm trance mxied with pop, Years of Denial's sound can be best described as slow, yet powerful and sexy, reminiscent of old school Berlin sound. Must not miss their rare performances in Asia this June!

Extremenly pleased to share this set from Sawf in a truly amazing event we co-hosted with 3 Shades of Black. A  pure  lineup hosted Ancient Methods, ANFS Live and Morah, which occurred on the 18th of January 2020 at Temple Athens.

It was 6:30 in the morning when Sawf took over the decks in closing duty that lasted until 10, a night we will never forget and looking forward to live again. Enjoy the ride!
