‘Lose My Mind’ hits you with its focus straight away. The drums stay crisp. The rhythm never loosens. There is a grit in the percussion that gives the track attitude without tipping into chaos. The bassline moves with weight and purpose, giving DJs a steady foundation to build around. The vocal samples add shape and movement, sitting just above the groove in a way that keeps dancers locked in without distracting from the drive. Micah Baxter brings a strong sense of identity to the project. The Peterborough producer has built his profile through deep, groovy minimal cuts that stand out for their clarity. Bear Weigle adds his own flavour. The San Francisco-based artist has been shaping a profile built on nuance, groove and subtle motion. You sense restraint. You sense patience. He brings texture and light detail to Micah’s harder framework, giving the track its shape and swing.
