‘EL1AX’ is the Progressive/Techno moniker of Elias Attumally, under which he produces Deep Progressive House, Melodic Techno and Electronica. Hailing from Kerala (India), Elias drew inspiration from legendary trance acts such as Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold during his formative years as a music producer. In early 2010s, as a self-taught music producer, Elias used to produce Trance under the alias ‘Juvelis’ with which he got signed to the Trance/Progressive house imprint Intricate Records (Russia) in 2014.

Currently residing in Seattle (US), after a short hiatus, in 2020 Elias rekindled his passion for producing music and launched his new moniker ‘EL1AX’, having acquired a new love for the deeper side of electronic music during his hiatus - through the works of Techno/Progressive maestros such as Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, and Patrice Baumel to name a few. 

In May 2021, Elias made his debut on Praveen Achary’s Bangalore (IN) based underground techno label Juicebox Music with his track ‘Sunset Over Puget Sound’ as part of the ambient compilation ‘Tales of Time: Chapter 2’ (2021). The VA album received rave reviews and entered the Top 100 Releases on Organic House and Electronica genres on Beatport. Following which he released his debut EP ‘Rainier’ on Deersky’s Progressive imprint Soundteller Records in August 2021.  The EP also made it to the Top 100 Progressive House Releases on Beatport (peaking at #15). In December 2021, with his exclusive 100-minute mix for Proton Radio, Elias received the spotlight from Proton Radio for their Amplified series. 

In July 2022, his track ‘Sculpture Park’ was picked up by Solarstone for Pure Progressive’s milestone compilation release - ‘Pure Progressive Vol.2’ mixed by Forerunners (Pure Progressive, Sudbeat, Anjunadeep). The track was also released as a single in September 2022 via Pure Progressive / Black Hole Recordings. In March 2023, EL1AX made his return to Pure Progressive with an official remix for Forerunners’ ‘Hazel Eyes’.

Since the inception of EL1AX, Elias’ productions have received feedback and support from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Solarstone, GMJ, Enamour, Praveen Achary, Ziger, Mir Omar, WASSU and Weird Sounding Dude to name a few. As a DJ, Elias has performed as an opening act for Solarstone, Jody Wisternoff, Fatum, Öona Dahl & WASSU in Seattle. 

Elias continues to spread his love for Techno/Progressive through his podcast “Peace of Mind Techno” through which he curates deep, meaningful and hypnotic house and techno.
