The title's meaning reflects the experience of mixing records on turntables.  This process is difficult at times leaving one vulnerable to many mistakes.  I call these moments "close encounters" - when two (or three) records are playing together and having one almost drift off or skip, but you still make the mix happen.  
Join me in this adventure as I blend Drum&Bass records with my signature intro/outro tracks.
