The fourth installment of Sonic Textures series is going to enlighten once more the most cuttin' edge artists in the electronics scene: 
Lair, artist, singer, compose and producer puts elements of ritual, mysticism, deep listening, meditation and energy work,  expressed through the lens of textured and layered electronic music derived from vocal samples; 
Visceral, densely textured, and intricately programmed, Swarm Intelligence’s distinctive sound comes from almost a decade of releases, spanning multiple genres and tempos; 
6SISS, half of Motive Power (47 Records) goes through progressive cinematronica to gritty industrial warehouse techno layered with some drama; 
Nemrac, Syncretism co-founder, shows his club-oriented approach in a visceral and incisive representation of darkness, skimming through Techno, Industrial, syncopated rhythms and noir atmospheres; 
Voicedrone, FOLD. founder in London, true analogue warrior and bastion of the European rave culture ensure a powerful closing of this release. 

"Sonic Textures" is the turbulent, dissonant voice speaking for eccentric artists with different influences and backgrounds. 
The fourth Various Artists Compilation presented by Syncretism gathers together several composition approaches, bringing a new paradigm of sonic textures and unexpected arrangements.

Darkness

PREMIERE: Voicedrone - Darkness [Syncretism]

It's by listening to his parents' records during car trips that he fell in love with music.

Starting with Boards of Canada, Röyksopp or Tokimonsta, Adone discovered techno, electronica, break and trip-hop at the age of 9. Since then, he feeds his mind with unstructured rhythms, nostalgic melodies and basically, an abstract universe. 

Since 2018, he describes this universe in his musical productions as an inner dialogue, an introspective quest, a journey through his mind.

Music reflects souls and gathers hearts, it is with this idea in mind that in 2021, the young producer gives birth to the project Noise Workers. An audiovisual experience mixing arts and provoking meetings between artists of all horizons through podcasts, interviews, multidisciplinary shows etc.

Today, Aedon proposes his second EP for Matière. Called Musical Memory Garden, it's 7 tracks that perfectly illustrate his influences. The EP also contains a remix of the Parisian founder of Hard Love Motor Love, Trois Quarts Taxi System who released last year his first album on the label.

Next up on Co-Accused Records - No Static / Automatic label boss ARA-U is piloting the craft with his NO FUTURE EP. The Venezuelan Electro producer provides four analogue cuts accompanied by a Radioactive Man remix.

It's a cosmic liftoff with the mind warping sonic sounds of 'Planet Destroy'. Radioactive Man's funk fuelled remix has an infectious 303 bassline that takes the listener on a jackin 'journey. On the flip side 'Exit Now' moves into driving hypnotic synths with sizzling percussion throughout. 'No Future' dips the dancefloor into a twisting wormhole of intergalactic grooves. The EP closes with the dark dystopian synths and extraterrestrial layers of 'It’s Only Lies Around Me'.

Ara-u - No Future (CR003)

Mirae Arts announces the release of The Way I Am and The Way You Yawn, the debut album from Katsunori Sawa under his new KWARP alias. Katsunori Sawa is a distinguished figure in Kyoto's experimental music scene. Sawa first made waves in 2008 on the UK-based Ai Records under his EOC alias. Over the years, he has contributed significantly to the music world by running the now-defunct 10 Label and collaborating with renowned artists like Yuji Kondo (as Steven Porter), Martsman (as Bokeh), and DJ Nobu (Nobusawa). These collaborations have seen releases on prestigious labels such as Kynant Records, SNTS, and Token.

As a solo artist, Sawa's music is crafted in his hidden studio, nestled within the cement walls of a Tadao Ando-designed building. His unique sound, characterized by rhythmic noise and undulating bottom-end rave abstractions, has earned him an album release on Opal Tapes, making him the label's first Japanese artist. 

This six-track album marks a significant evolution in Sawa's musical journey, blending his experimental roots with fresh, vibrant textures. The Way I Am and The Way You Yawn reflects on the fleeting nature of youth and the aspiration to maintain a childlike curiosity, while also acknowledging the fatigue that comes with aging. Mostly produced with modular synthesizers and analog equipment, the album takes listeners on an auditory adventure through a series of imaginative soundscapes.

The album opens with Frog FM, a track characterized by forward-driving hi-hats and alien voices echoing and clashing, reminiscent of a scrambled FM frequency or a child playing with an analog radio dial. Light Dash follows, placing the listener in the cockpit of an unknown vehicle emitting reverberating artificial sounds. Side A closes with The Spectator, featuring voices from above and creatures talking with one another.

Side B begins with PlayStation, evoking the sounds of a gaming console booting up. Metal Gear reflects the inner metallic workings powering our entertainment. The album concludes with Ultra, a track filled with belching aggression and mechanical expressions, almost as if the music itself is trying to escape the speakers.

Well, that we live a crazy, completely mad, crazy life, these are not just a words, not comparison, not exaggeration, but the simplest statement of what is really is. And one of the serious sensations associated with our time was the feeling of impending absurdity, when insanity becomes more or less normal.
Hailing from Manchester, 21 year old Thodén has seen releases over the past year on Nous Disques, Eyeangle and more recently inaugurating the Stuttgart based ‘Electroménager’. Encapsulating a variety of influences from UK Techno through to jungle, his style has emerged as one of percussive and bass-oriented club ready music.
Now German Row Records present his new work 4 track "Gade" EP, our pick up is "38tc" - a dark post-apocalytpic track which more than gives a knowing nod with shakey snares, booming drums, a dubby electrified bassline and breakbeat which sounds like it is a march of darkness and hopeless within apreggio which would see as a direct reflection of this strange days.
