Marvin & Guy have an undefinable, utterly distinctive touch, one that has carried them through their native Italy and up among the stars, transforming the duo into the orchestrators of countless transcendent moments in dance culture.

Originally beginning as an anonymous disco edit project between two friends, their musical universe has since expanded outwards, including releases on definitive labels such as Life and Death, Permanent Vacation, Correspondent and Hivern Discs. Engineering a cosmic bridge between the heritage of disco and Italo towards contemporary techno, each Marvin & Guy production, remix or DJ set shoots for the moon with pure, unadulterated musical pleasure.

Ey! March Madness is here, and we're starting off this month with the creators of TANK Radio: Reyk & Joris Heijkant. In TR192, they've brought us one of their renowned back-to-back sessions. This time, they've taken a slightly different approach, curating a selection of slow chuggers and deep sounds to set the groove. So, sit back, close your eyes, and let the beat carry you away!

French producer Panthera steps up to Melodize with a pair of Italo inspired cuts that come remixed by the legendary Lauer and Endrik Schroeder.

Panthera prefers to remain secretive about his identity, but his music has plenty of people talking. It has come out on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Polaris and Correspondant so far and contains a distinct, synth-heavy, euphoric sound.

This is evident from the beginning with 'Hustle', a colourful and cosmic cut with rich melodies, occasional vocal touches and shimmering arps. They bring sugary rushes of joy to the mid-tempo nu-disco drums and will douse dance floors in subtle euphoria. Remixing this one is the underground stalwart Lauer, who always brings his retro style to his disco and house on labels such as Permanent Vacation and Running Back. His version is faster and more direct, though still packed with starry melodies and subtle synth motifs that bring it to life.

Panthera's 'Western Union' then brings more raw percussion and slapping drums but again takes flight through the cosmos on sleek synth lines with hints of 80s nostalgia. It's a track that is always on the rise and full of bright, irresistible melodic suspense. Remixer Endrik Schroeder also hails from France and is a fast-rising talent with credits on the taste-making Bordello A Parigi, Ritmo Fatale, and Roam Recordings. He flips the original into a more propulsive and urgent nu-disco weapon with crashing drums and synth loops spiralling around the track as extra melodies fall like stardust to light up the groove.
There is real quality as well as plenty of feel-good energy to these four shiny, synth-heavy tracks.

Fundamental Harmonics unveils a soundtrack of the young universe in album Origins of Galaxies on Lepton Quark.

“We are all stardust, but some of us remember the explosion” Fundamental Harmonics.
The universe began in fire, in silence, in the slow unfurling of something from nothing. Now, Fundamental Harmonics channels that primordial pulse into Origins of Galaxies, a sprawling, 13-track electronic opus that maps the dawn of existence through hypnotic techno, deep house, and ambient electronica.

Imagine Anthony Bourdain, whiskey in hand, staring into the void, muttering: "The first galaxies weren’t born—they erupted. They were chaos condensing into poetry." That’s the spirit here. Origins of Galaxies is a journey through celestial nurseries, where tracks like "Glass z13" (hypnotic techno thrumming like a pulsar) and "AzTEC-3" (atmospheric deep techno, heavy with dark matter) evoke the slow dance of cosmic dust. "Gn-z11" (melodic techno, glowing like the earliest known galaxy) and "Tucana" (acid techno, searing as a quasar’s jet) remind us that the universe was never quiet—just waiting for someone to listen.

The album drifts between intensity and stillness, mirroring the evolution of matter itself. "Sedna 77" (voluptuous piece of ambient, vast as the Oort Cloud) and "Oikone2" (ambient, dissolving like background radiation) bookend the experience blending textures with forest and nature recordings to recall that the sounds of living organisms are indeed integral parts of the cosmic evolution, while "Jades" (techno, relentless as star formation) and "Slow Burn" (electronica, smoldering like a protostar) pull us deeper into the abyss.

Lepton Quark finds its perfect architect in Fundamental Harmonics, an artist who treats sound like spacetime: something to warp, to bend, to feel.

Origins of Galaxies isn’t just an album. It’s a light-year-spanning elegy to the moment when darkness first caught fire.
