His debut original project with the label, ‘Road Block’ will build on his already impressive profile: complete with his signature Jungle drumming and instantly recognisable horn riffs (taken from The Aggravators ‘Rockers Almighty’) it’s the perfect complement to the impeccable lyrical talent of Doncaster’s most demonstrative vocalist Parly B. Currently enjoying support and props from the UK’s leading reggae ambassador David Rodigan, Parly’s emphatic sermons ensure instant explosions in the dance. Fresh from remixing Blak Twang’s ‘Rebel MC’ the duo have unleashed a firing jam that spits and sizzles with contemporary Drum & Bass fire. All rifling breakbeats, immense bass pressure and a drop sharp enough to shave, TerraHawk confirm their place as one of the most exciting new D&B acts to emerge in the last year. 

In an exciting new development for the label, the release offers added soundsystem gravitas in the form of Sleepy Time Ghost’s Reggae and Bass Music infusions. After Violinbwoy’s successful ‘Mono County’ twelver and Moonshine’s tight collaboration with Steppas Records, the imprint is ready to march on and announce its next 12-inch coloured vinyl release waiting in line.

The mighty Mungo’s Hi-Fi and Sekkleman have taken up Radikal Guru’s (RG) prolific ‘Subconscious’ long player. Each has picked a track of choice to lengthen and relive the Polish sound of 2013. With a remix of originals 
‘Stay Calm ft. YT’ and ‘Earthwalker, the imprint’s back catalogue is steadily shifting the sediment of dub(wise) music.  

Mungo’s Hi Fi’s take on RG’s ‘Stay Calm’ is a meditative jam that reaches out to the most high. The track is led by a low-toned bassline that immerses listeners in lo-fi tremor. It shakes chest plates, while YT’s blessed vocal work transcends the average dub plate. His energetic lines of wisdom align with Mungo’s futuristic drum work; all to forge a revolutionary sound that honours RG’s dub style. Guided by several melody leads, swinging flows and sample tweaks, this rework really sets a groove of its own.

The flip side of ‘MS024’ reaches out to a confident steppa-style production that will remind many of scene favourite Gorgon Sound. The Australian-based Sekkleman has an exciting go at reinterpreting ‘Earthwalker’ in his own profound way: a pounding kick, rowdy b-lines and an enthralling flute escort listeners through the path to Jah. The mental atmosphere that follows suit sets a tone that touches upon RG’s original intentions. It bundles the roots of this stepper, allowing it to effectively trigger a journey that eases down the brain; just close your eyes and skank towards peace and unity.

‘MS024’ embodies a returning theme, consisting of two remixes that add even more significance to the existence of Radikal Guru’s 2nd album. For us, taking part in this movement is all that matters. Thanks for your support!

Tenja, was born in the Essone district of South Paris in 1982, where he started on his musical pathway playing the guitar at the age of ten. 

By the age of 16 he was producing ragga hip-hop beats and joined French hip-hop collective '7Secte' from Seine et Marne where he discovered his talent as an MC and vocalist.

In 2008 Tenja moved to England to spread his message and his voice.
His career flourished as he hooked up with 'Daddy-U' and 'The Uplifter',
and also assumed the role of singer in reggae band 'Dubheart'.
Since then he as performed regularly both with the band and as a solo artist at events and festivals around the world such as Dubnium (Bournemouth), Outlook Festival (Croatia), Endorse it in Dorset Festival where he performed with Dubmatix, Cargo (London), Nozstock Festival and Onelove Festival where the band arrived second in the U.K. Reggae Contest.

His talent shone through and was soon recognised by promotors in the reggae scene, and since then he has performed along artists such as Channel One System, Jazzsteppa, Congo Natty, Kromstar and RSD in the Dub to Jungle and Dub to Dubstep UK tours. As his reputation grew he found himself perfoming alongside Marcia Griffiths at the Salute to the Wailers event at Hammersmith Apollo in London.
His current projects include his work with Dubheart who are currently working on a new roots reggae album, as well as personal projects making roots and steppas riddims and producing dubplates for some well known artists.... watch this space!
