Having demolished the likes of Wiley, Rude Kid and Jammer in the epic Lord of the Beats producer war late last year, all eyes and ears are on Footsie - a trend that’s set to continue with the release of the much-anticipated ‘King Original Vol 3’ on the 24th March via Braindead Entertainment

Already looking like one of the Grime CD’s of the year, King Original Vol 3 is a heady mixture of Grime, Trap and Dubstep style that Footsie has been steadily pushing over the airwaves and in the clubs for the past 12 months; channelling raw, uncompromising Newham General energy throughout. 

Opening with the vibrant and funky ‘Bubblers’, KOv3 swiftly moves into darker territory. The brooding ‘Very Alarming’ and ‘Traps’ (a track featured on Footsie’s SBTV ‘Producers House’) bring drama to the fore, with Footsie utilising 808’s and vocal stabs to devastating effect.

But it’s stand-out tracks ‘Newham Tribes’, ‘Tekky’, ‘Spookfest’ and the anthemic ‘Cold Winter’ that raise the temperature and bring real dance floor vibes, with gurgling acid lines, booming drums and euphoric pianos. It’s a new dimension to Footsie’s sound that’s never been heard before.

“To me, this is my most important release thus far” says the veteran producer. “This volume brings me back up to date in terms of my catalogue and contains, what I think, is some of my best work so far”  

Indeed, last year saw Footsie ignite the underground with King Original Vol 1 and 2, helping spawn a wave of nostalgia for the Grime sounds of old that shows no sign of dissipating. For Vol 3 however, he’s presenting the future – showcasing vital new sounds and textures.

Following his launch in to the limelight on the top 20 selling album Lord of the Mics 3, Sox releases his debut album, ‘Winning & Chilling’ via the Lord of the Mics record label.
As part of one of the most exciting and credible Grime collectives, Invasion Alert from Birmingham, Sox has performed at sell-out shows throughout the UK including Leicester, Sheffield and Birmingham’s O2 Academies as well as Wiley’s very own Eski-Dance at London’s IndigO2. Delve a little deeper and you’ll find hundreds of thousands of hits next to the Brummy emcee’s name on YouTube thanks to his inclusion on Kiss FM’s, DJ Logan Sama’s ‘After Hours’ feature, SBTV’s ‘Invasion Alert Cypher’ and BBC 1Xtra’s, DJ Cameo’s, ‘Gimmie Grime’ set.

Talking about the collection of tracks on ‘Winning & Chilling’ Sox says:
“The Outro sums it up and means the most to me because it explains everything from the last two years. The outro explains all of the influences and gives me the opportunity to show everyone the different angles and perspectives of me as an artist and the tracks that have been included.”

Since spending the Summer of 2013 touring Europe with Grime royalty Skepta, Sox returned to the UK with a focus to release a collection of solo material which has now come to fruition under the carefully guided watch of the Lord of the Mics record label.

A pioneer of the new upsurge of UK Rap; Colours Miyagi has established a strong following of fans and fellow artists through his real-talk accounts of life on the streets of London that he’s released via YouTube.

Having previously battled continuously between music and street life, (resulting in the rapper being incarcerated on several occasions), Colours Miyagi reflects upon life and the inevitable toll that past decisions take on our path forward. In stark contrast to this, Colours describes life on the opposite side of the coin and delves in to the importance of life changes and the two opposite ends of the spectrum are presented in the shape of thought provoking mixtape, ‘Sunshine & Rain’.

Presenting the mixtape with ‘Faster Life’ the track symbolizes perfectly the relationship between sunshine and rain, good and bad, and the demons every person has to face on their own journey through life. 

With a melodic hook courtesy of ZaidClass and a drum led production from non-other than Fuse ODG; Colours Miyagi hits the verses hard with this debut track.
