My remix of a very adorable Future Bass track! This was my first time working with remix stems rather than a raw file. The creation process was much like the song itself, relaxing but at a quick pace. 

My general goal was to make a sound similar to Kubix's style (https://soundcloud.com/kubix1255) - as I wasn't noticing any atmospheric drum and bass renditions of Tea Time.

Since this was so pleasant to make, I might try playing around with a couple more remix stems soon. But for now, enjoy! ^_^

I present to you, the Daisho-set.

This is a revamp of the mix I played at Daishocon 2015, but the name also suits it for other reasons.

This isn't a long set, but it's still a big one. What it lacks in size temporally it makes up for in grandiosity. 

In the future, I expect to play sets to larger audiences. Sets which receive more praise, and a wider appeal. And, knowing me, I'll also try my hand at a set far more technically demanding. But, despite all that, I think this will remain my favourite.

DJ Tenshin's Totally Fire Kawaii Future Bass Follow-Up

"You're not following any other artists on soundcloud...are you, senpai?!"

Ayo, I'm back again with another dnb flip, this time of Moe Shop's yandere anthem.

My goal with this was to fuse 'french funk' sound of Moe's original track with the jazzy sound of Liquid Funk Drum and Bass.

But as I listened to the song more and more...Jamie's vocals veered me in a different direction. What resulted is a track like a yandere itself- something smooth and unassuming on the surface, with a dark undercurrent once it's grabbed your attention.

I dig Shiki's vocals in the original, but felt they conveyed a different tone than I wanted in this version of the song.

Moe Shop ft. Jamie Paige - Love Taste (DJ Tenshin Remix)

I'm back again with another Future Bass set!

It's been a while since my last studio mix, but I had been so busy with live performance I haven't had too many chances to just sit down and something for my soundcloud squad.

'Cute as Heck' is mostly based on a headliner set I did in Ottawa last winter. My goal for that set was to bring the definitive DJ Tenshin experience while challenging myself to use a fresh set of tracks. 

For the SC edition of the mix, I cut it down in length and added a couple newer tracks in. I took out some of the chill stuff and added more Kawaii.

I plan to organize a couple more DJ sets soontimes- so you expect more content from me before the summer is done.

It's been time since I did a studio set, but this was one I had definitely been waiting to throw down.

It's sort of a fusion of the mix I played for Otakuthon in Montreal, and my mix for Kigurumi Canada's party "We are one". I wanted something cute, but that had a cozy vibe at the same time. Thus, it's my Smol N Sweet set!

Dj Tenshin's Smol N Sweet Future Bass Set

The inspiration for this track came largely from traditional elements of Japanese music. As the melody took form, I started modeling motifs off of my experience climbing the 'Fushimi Inari-Taisha' shrine in Japan. As the Shrine was built atop a mountain, the track has a gradual melodic build before reaching the top. Then it's a sprint sprint back down to the calm surrounding it.

I haven't been making a lot of releases lately on account of other projects I've been working on.

To tide you over, here's a little techno track I made today in 40 minutes. I ended up spending about an hour mixing it after that.

This was more my attempt to create Techno without having much context for the genre itself.
