Inspired, not so much by Pieter Bruegel's wonderful painting, as by the idea of living within it. Andrew Caldecott's strange book, Momenticom, is brimming with such ideas...
When Breugel painted this, Europe was in the grip of a mini-ice age and times were very hard. One art historian (I forget who) suggests that the hunters and their dogs were returning from the hunt unsuccessful and disconsolate. Despite the challenges, other locals take the opportunity to skate on the ice.

Durant 10 ans j'ai travaillé dans une association pour les gens en situation de précarité. La moyenne d'âge des bénévoles, est de 70 ans, durant cette même période j'ai mis sous terre 15 amis. Cette musique est pour faire honneur à toutes ces personnes et aux autres qui ont contribuée à amener de la chaleur dans notre société.

For 10 years I worked in an association for people in precarious situations. The average age of the volunteers is 70 years old, during this same period I put 15 friends underground. This music is to honour all those people and others who have contributed to bringing warmth to our society.

I waded into virtual orchestration about 2013, with the intent of composing.  I started programming recordings of other's compositions and have been loving it.  I'm committed to perfecting my craft and I enjoy especially recording music by late nineteenth and early twentieth century English composers.  Something about the music of that time and place speaks to me...  

I also arrange and record strings in collaboration with other artists and songwriters.  Always fun!
