There really is no stopping the inexorable force that is EDX. Following on from a truly incredible 2018, which saw him launch a brand new live show concept ‘XIRCUIT’ and receive a Grammy-nomination for his remix of Charlie Puth ‘Who Cares’, Switzerland’s most streamed artist ever now looks set to jumpstart 2019, with the announcement of his brand new original single, ‘Who Cares’. 

Due for release via Spinnin’ Deep on January 11, 'Who Cares' sees EDX enter a new sonic space to mark the start of the year, with some of his freshest music to date. Two-step beats, urban vocalists and UK Garage basslines are the order of the day, as the Swiss-Italian maestro explores a fresh musical style and further demonstrates his boundless diversity and versatility in the studio.

‘Who Cares’ comes off the back of a rollercoaster 2018 for EDX, and without doubt one of his most successful years to date. With three Beatport-topping original singles (‘Anthem', ‘Jaded' and ‘Sillage’) under his belt — not to mentioned official remixes for Janelle Monae, David Guetta & Anne-Marie, Bazzi & Camila Cabello and Chromeo & French Montana — the industry veteran is showing no signs of slowing down after more than twenty-five years at the top of his game. 

With more new music in the pipeline and an incredible new live show XIRCUIT being rolled out internationally, 2019 looks set to be another one for the books!

Two of the most influential pop-house acts, Dutch duo Redondo and Sweden's Tobtok, have joined forces on a spectacular collaboration titled ‘Pick You Up’, with the featuring of Penny F on the vocals. The single, available now via Perfect Havoc, has all the credentials to become one of the hottest pieces of vocal House of this late Summer.

Wasting no time in following up their recent smash collaborations ‘Clap Your Hands’ with W&W and Fedde Le Grand and ‘Raver Dome’ as 3 Are Legend alongside Steve Aoki, Justin Prime & Sandro Silva, the latest team up sees the Belgian brothers unite with psytrance heavyweights Vini Vici for ‘Get In Trouble (So What)’. The coming together of these musical juggernauts is as heavy as you’d expecting, combining both duos extensive knowledge in music production and ear for a hit to great effect, utilising a standout sample that elevates the track skywards.

A fighting chant builds towards the fast paced drop and sets the tone from the start, as clever use of LFO on a synth cranks up towards the first breakdown, which introduces the iconic vocal that is sure to whip fans into a frenzy. This is carried into the main break, where the familiar guitar lead joins the vocals before switching up to accommodate a high pitched lead that continues into the beat. 

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Vini Vici have a strong history of partnership, with the latter’s premier psytrance label Alteza working under the Smash The House umbrella, and that synergy is on show with ‘Get In Trouble (So What)’, which follows on from previous heavy hitting collaborations such as ‘Untz Untz’ and ‘The House Of House’. Both acts continue to reign supreme in their respective worlds, and their latest work together once again highlights the familiarity in the studio, and the ability to fuse both sounds into an unforgettable anthem that is set to be one of the standout releases of the year.
