Here is a first attempt to create a dubtechno set as  Monosphere ( Jeroen)

I had a lot of some older releases on my hard disk so I used them to create this set. I set the tempo around 115 bpm.
Because this is my first dubtechno mix there will be some little glitches in it.

Bio:

Egor Kuchepatov is a DJ since 2007. His passions range between dub techno with its rustling and reverberations to contemporary minimal house and melodic groove, from deep sound which is a certain sense of peace to the soul. His mixes never cling to any specific genre or music era.

Inspired by such labels as: Mojuba, Body Parts, Kina, Telrae, WTM, Smallville, Cadenza, Perlon, Delsin, Freund der Familie, Silent Season, Echospace, Basic Channel, Eshu, Entropy, Highgrade, Patterns, Its Balearic, Baile Musik, Pro-Tez, Simple Things and more..

The motivation behind starting the label was to create a platform to release founder’s own music, but also other talented artists. Today Cold Tear Records is a well established label in the dub techno scene and the most active and productive label in Lithuania.

Smoke Rings Mix#77 (Dub Techno / Deep Techno)

Starting off a new feature on the blog this first podcast has a selection of some of my favourite tracks from the last month and a bit. I wanted to do something a bit more with my ‘Pick of the week’ feature on the blog so I’ve decided to turn it into a podcast to showcase some of my favourite tracks.

If you want to send me your tracks to be featured on future podcasts I’ll happily give your tracks a listen as long as its deep electronic music I don’t really care what genre, I’ll try to fit a bit of everything in (even if it does muck up the mixing and tempo)

I have been trying sort out a few problems with recordings and my pc, this is my first recording since I come back from travelling last year so the mix is a little rough around the edges, still getting use to the levels with my behringer uca222 interface. Let me know what you think of the quality.
