FUSE09 - Matti Turunen (Morphology)

The 9th edition of our FUSE series comes courtesy of Matti Turunen, one half of Finnish Electro legends; Morphology. Separated from his partner in crime Michael Diekmann through lockdown, Matti took himself away from his collection of adored synthesisers and drum machines to produce this rare, vinyl only DJ set, recorded exclusively for our FUSE series. The mix consists of some absolute gems in Matti’s collection, with styles ranging from early Chicago and Detroit to sublime, futuristic electronics, some of which come from other respected, underground Finnish labels and artists. 

Devoted to Electro, Morphology have been at large for more than a decade and have made their presence known with releases on labels widely considered by those in the scene as having royal stature, such as Central Processing Unit, Cultivated Electronics, Solar One Music, FireScope, Semantica and more. Being fans of theirs for many years it was an honour for us to bring them to London to play an unforgettable live set at our 16 hour extended rave at FOLD in August 2019. This party has gone down in our history as being one of our most memorable to date and the pair slotted into the lineup perfectly, alongside Regis, Kamikaze Space Programme, DJ Skull, DJ T-1000 aka Alan Oldham, Versalife, as well as front-line Natural Selection and FOLD residents; Kodah, Annie Hall, Voicedrone, Gareth Wild, Cressida and more.

The floodlights remain unshakeably fixed on the Finnish pair’s brilliance moving into this new decade. Their next EP “Qualia” comes courtesy of Exalt Records and will be released in July 2020.

¡Amig@s nos vamos a Málaga! De allí procede el autor de la entrega número 75 de las UEMA Series, hablamos de Óscar LP. 
Óscar LP lleva 15 años coleccionando discos, investigando y amando la música electrónica sin más afán que el de disfrutar de ella, y esa actitud es lo que más apreciamos. Como Dj Óscar LP goza de una técnica muy limpia y es capaz de crear un paisaje a partir de diferentes estilos combinando Electro, Techno o EBM con total naturalidad y mucha coherencia.
Recientemente ha pasado a formar parte de la crew de Electronic Wave y ha fundado, junto con 2 compañeros, el Colectivo Elektropedia Analog Kollective (Málaga) con lo cual no tardaremos mucho en poder disfrutarlo en algún evento.
Para esta sesión Óscar LP nos propone un viaje con mucho ritmo roto, sonidos ácidos, pads celestiales y mucha clase en las mezclas. Sin duda, Óscar LP, ha sido todo un descubrimiento y esperamos que lo disfrutéis y no lo perdáis de vista y es que el malagueño tiene mucho que contar y los platos son sus armas.

We are proud to welcome Gonzalo Rubio to our N2MU Podcast Series. Apart from being the owner of the renowned @melting-pot-records store located in Madrid, Gon is a unique DJ that has toured the world carrying his record bag to countless DJ booths. He has definitely made a name for himself in the rave scene thanks to his vibrant DJ sets, which include styles as dubstep, drum'n bass, techno, and, needless to say, electro.  In this dynamic and energetic recording on vinyl, he offers his personal stance on electro sounds, showing an exquisite and laudable technique at all times. Enjoy it!

Although his habitat is the other side of the ocean and his time is more than the 80s and 90s of Detroit and Chicago, for this occasion he has compiled some of his darkest albums, combining the sound of the new oven in Detroit and the UK with old Martians from the old school, and some songs by the best electro producers in the capital, Ideograma (DJ F) and Zenobit3, two DJs who have influenced him, especially in the discovery of this style. Flavio teaching him that sound on those afternoons at the Recycled Music Center and Zenobit3 at the Red Sonja Beats, at Sirocco. Don't get used to seeing this version of I-94, just enjoy it like there's no tomorrow! Peace!

December Podcast is delivered straight from Manse by multitalent, @joonas_aleksi. He's a guy who can spin records, produce killer tracks and organize top notch parties. He started his musical journey in Jyväskylä (during teenage years by DJing and producing music.) Nowadays he lives in Tampere and the past 10 years he has been a familiar face in the local scene. He's also a member and a resident Dj of Tampere based SWÄG collective, which is one of the best known collectives in the area. His music taste varies from ambient to techno. He's also an active producer and his tracks has been released by: Sync Forward, Good Life, Onset Audio and  SWÄG records. 

This mix is a combination of atmospheric, hypnotic and playful soundscapes with slightly more uptempo drive.
