Nice post techno work. Love the disturbed/paranoid vocoder vocal. The mind is the last thing to be locked up, they can't take our dreams away from us.

'The fifth edition of 'Terra Incognita' releases comes up with five excellent tracks, where each of those has a message to deliver. 

Dutch producer Helsloot, who performed a line of successful releases on This Never Happened, Poesie Musik as well as the remix for Bob Moses, starts with the deep anthem called 'Why Now' featuring the voice of Marcel Young. 

Matteo Bruscagin is the Italian producer with the releases on Solomun's Diynamic and Guy J's Lost Found. His 'Heptagram' track, which recorded with Duane Hobson, is full of emotions: bright strings work, smooth vocals and dramatizing moments all the track evolution give us the atmosphere we certainly feel.

'Free Love' by Nick Scofield is a track opening the curtains of pianos and the vocals leads, which we feel in love with. With the prior support of HOSH during his Cercle set, this tune is definitely worth its' attention and being in the release.

'Apus' by our Ukrainian artist 8Kays goes deep, tense and 'festival-thinking'. The sensational breakdown makes its' opening even brighter, so we're happy including and welcoming her to this editions.

German duo Moonbootica completes the package with 'Nightfall' - the powerful and dynamic track, which definitely should find the audience.Enjoy these for your weekends!'

Steyoyoke Black presents some fresh blood for their most recent EP and it comes in the form of a producer who releases under the name of David Granha. The spotlight falls generously upon this Spanish born musician, who makes his initial mark on the Steyoyoke Black label with a three track solo EP titled ‘Aria’.

‘Aria’ can best be described as an aural contortion, where classical collides head on with melodic techno. Intertwining elements from each genre to create one defining masterpiece, it is unique and intriguing to the ear. The backbone of the track aligns with its rich melodies and driving energy, its intensity however, revolves around the opera vocals which cut through the techno flavoured sound, adding a whole new depth to 'Aria's' entirety.

The second track on the EP is ‘Opus 52’ and it’s full of hidden surprises, twists and turns. The first thing to hit you is a wall of pulsating bass, accompanied by smooth rolling drum layers and some crunchy tough percussion. A surprise then casually arises, captured perfectly by an electro style synth riff, which is both perky and lofty in its vibe.

‘Tessitura’ is the third and final track on this release and it closes the curtains on ‘Aria’ in absolute style and grace. ‘Tessitura’ embodies a modest zest and plenty of bounce. It’s laced with minuet intricacies and a lustre of quirky soundscapes, encompassing everything you want to hear and feel on the dance floor.

As ever with JOBE, the EP is a powerful combination of darkness, melody and heft.

Title track My Regrets is true to form, built on a chunky, driving groove that opens into an expansive and euphoric vocal-led peak in which Haptic takes the lead, giving a performance that is typically haunting and emotional. The Dub Edition, meanwhile, offers a useful counterpoint that smooths out the highs of the original.

Up next, the VVerses Lessons Learned Edition is a blissful combination of new wave-influenced broken beat, delayed basslines and dripping acid. Haptic's vocal, transformed into an impersonal and heavily vocodered robotic presence, holds the track together as it culminates into choppy ravey chords that channel a Balearic feel.

Final track Luma is an ominous afro tech roller, big dusty drums encasing a central arp that ups the ante and is bound to make the dancefloor bounce. Interweaving synths relentlessly build the tension to a crescendo.
