Can you believe it only took me one take to record this bassline as I already had an idea of it's structure, my goal was to approach the tune as I would a song with vocals, my first idea was to start the tune right off the bat with an intro using short staccato notes.

The main section melody (chorus) starts off with a mixture of root / 4th / 5th and 7th notes as I wanted the bassline to land on the high F as the gat-bass on every pass.

The second melody line (verse) I wanted to focus on the root note G and really put a lot of emphasis on exploiting it's power with a heavy set pattern.

Overall, it's a basic bassline that follows the structure of the melody and fun to play.
