𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒆: Alohn - Hypnoglitch [95OT005]

Sticking to its roots in experimental dubstep, this fifth release really nails the label’s unique sound. It’s sometimes weird, sometimes made to tear up the dancefloor, but always unexpected.

This time, it’s Alohn taking the reins with a 6-track ride that twists every element in the best way possible. He even throws in live electric guitar, played by himself, because why not? Just when you thought the boundaries had already been pushed to the max, Alohn comes in and proves that dubstep and metal can actually go hand-in-hand - and sound absolutely insane doing it.

The journey kicks off with Lamantin, a halftime roller packed with textures, glitchy details, and effects from outer space. Just when you settle into the ride the guitar hits, and you know you're in for a wild one.

Maledictus follows with these airy, almost angelic vocal layers, drenched in effects. After a long, trippy build-up, it drops into a deep, head-nodding groove with IDM flavor.

Then there’s Hypnoglitch, all about swirling atmospheres and broken beats, leading into this nostalgic synth line that just hits. Super dreamy, super detailed, and full of vibe.

Doom Goblin switches things up again. It’s got a trip-hop feel, with long guitar notes and acoustic touches over a rhythm that refuses to follow the rules. Halfway through, the beat flips into something way faster and more classic, but it keeps the emotional depth. Honestly feels like two songs in one, made for the real heads.

Then comes Crypt, the banger of the release. Heavy kicks, punchy snares, and no messing around. It strips back some of the complexity to just hit hard. Perfect to smash a dancefloor but still full of those subtle details that make it unmistakably Alohn.

And finally, Chug Dub, the closer, and it’s a monster. Dubstep meets metal in full force. A wild fusion that somehow makes total sense. Cinematic. Powerful. One of a kind

Bluegold steps into the world as a ground for trance-inducing rhythm and collective movement. Rooted in techno but never bound to it, the sound leans toward the psychedelic and the hallucinatory: loops, atmospheres, and ritual percussion that blur perception and guide the floor into altered states.

The A side is produced by Mruda, created during a phase of mental conflict on a day of madness that translated directly into sonic expression. The intention was to reflect instability and chaos by letting the machine generate random pulses powered by chance.

Considering the volatile character of the A side, Archypness is the perfect artist to flip the coin and bring something more meditative and grounded, balancing this split EP. His tracks lead the listener into a powerful journey of mindfulness, painted with rich textures and rhythms that carry the dance into shadows and timeless dimensions.

We will celebrate the release of this EP outdoors in berlin with a custom-built sound system and a lineup that embodies its vision, supported by light installations and a sun rays dissolving into fog. 6.9 day time - more details soon

Fuelled by an endless fascination with sound in all its forms, OTON has spent over a decade navigating the vast spectrum of electronic music through producing, mixing, mastering, and DJing — with live performance at the heart of his explorations in all sorts of mental and hypnotic techno.In 2021, he launched Alliance Club, initially as a platform to share his own music with a growing audience. Today, the project has evolved into an independent collective, party series and imprint, known for its integrity and support of alternative artists and scenes. Alliance Club now holds residencies at some of Belgium’s most iconic institutions, including Botanique, Fuse, C12, and Listen Festival. After previously exploring sonic territories characterized by breakbeat rhythms, psychedelic textures, tribal drumming, and raw mental energy, OTON unveiled his critically acclaimed LP, New Forms of Silence, in March 2025. This landmark release marked a decisive and profound shift in his artistic direction, signaling a new chapter in his sonic evolution. This autumn, OTON is set to return with its highly anticipated sequel, New Forms of Silence 2. This new offering delves even deeper into the introspective and resonant side of techno, embracing dubbier elements while demonstrating a clear reverence for the genre's classic roots. "Fam Records News: the new release from Morpha is here.
This’s his first full-length album in two years. What does it sound like? Morpha explains.
I stopped making music in my usual genre, so I spent a long time experimenting and searching for a new sound. In that sense, the FAM label became a place where I could finally feel free. An important symbiosis happened — core values aligned with my need for something new.
How did it all start? I literally opened Ableton and went into the unknown. No reference tracks, just a desire to create something fresh. I was interested in layering my hypnotic background with new BPMs and rhythms, trying out breaks and bass sounds. These tracks weren’t inspired by any other artist.
At the same time, I was working on a dancefloor project at Mutabor on Masalnaya, embedding those same 85/170 experiments. That’s a profound and significant experience for me — hence the release’s name. There’s no need to look for a direct connection between that experience and the tracks themselves. I’d say it just sounds cool, looks good, and it’s a personal milestone for me."
