Opening track on Teresa's second album, Ravens and Butterflies, inspired by Arthurian legend and the time-old story from Cinderella to modern day of a woman trying to outrun circumstances.  Epic strings, french horn and beautiful harmonies, including in the Arthurian meets Americana infused middle 8 'ho' down', shine through in this track, possibly, if not ambitiously, a masterwork.  

Camelot

Black Forest inspired song about...going to a forest, the 'deep Black Forest'.  A guitar driven road trip into the unknown, a right of passage song celebrating the abundance of nature.  Lovely glockenspiel and childish voice give this a very playful feel.  From Teresa's second album, Ravens and Butterflies.

Teresa Disken was born in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, the second of two daughters, to an Irish American history master, and brought up in Cabinteely, South Dublin, by her father and paternal grandparents. 

She has been a lawyer, teacher, muse, traveling coffee table book salesperson. She is now a singer-songwriter living in Bermondsey. 

Crafting songs from a strong instinct and love of music, her style is continually evolving, with frequent nods to Irish, rock, folk, electric and classical music. 

She performs either solo (with her acoustic guitar) or with her band, Disken.
