Forever evolving and maturing, Hermanez has consistently moved with the times and reflected the dancefloor’s souls with his prolific and heavily-supported output. Whether his groove magic has been found on the likes of Suara, Snatch! or All Day I Dream, he’s always delivered something special that fits the moment, respects the label and dazzles the dancefloor.

This Bedrock debut is certainly no exception. Following on from the beautiful and beguiling sounds of his recent ‘Remedio’ release on All Day I Dream, ‘Deeper Roots’ once again digs deep into Hermanez’s influences and inspirations as he lays down some of the most hypnotizing pieces he’s conjured so far.   

Each cut weaves a majestic web; ‘Abel’ is a sonic dream, gently ebbing and flowing with an almost Balearic charm. Elsewhere ‘Dust Town’ takes us on a solemn trip out into the desert with big mournful pads and dark, twisted bass echoes,  ‘Lockstep’ sways and seduces with a sweet Latin swing and layers of hip-slinking percussion while ‘Rock Bottom’ brings the EP to a wonderfully emotional conclusion. 

Unhurried and steeped in poignant soul, there’s a subtle vibe of DJ Gregory’s classic Faya Combo in the mix but with big swooping textures like you might have found on Border Community many moons ago. 

Serious fusion but deeply understated; it’s the perfect way for Hermanez to bid us adieu as we wait patiently for more evolutions from the super-consistent Belgian talent.

Fer Torti es DJ y productora de Tucumán, Argentina. Desde niña tuvo interés por la música para luego introducirse en el género de la electrónica en el 2019, realizando sus estudios de Dj y luego de Producción Musical.
Sus sets se caracterizan por su tendencia al Progressive House y Organic House, generando viajes musicales con muchas melodías, groove y energía.
Se presentó en diferentes eventos en Tucumán, Córdoba y Catamarca y compartió cabina con artistas como Miss Monique, Brigado Crew, Patrice Baümel, Sebastien Leger, Jonas Saalbach, Nacho & Cruz Vittor y Sebastián Busto, Jamie Stevens, Guy Mantzur, Figueras, entre otros. Fue seleccionada este año por Hernán Cattaneo para abrir la pre party del Hernán Cattaneo Weekend en Palacio Alsina, junto a importantes artistas de la escena.
