@zeanmusic, con base en Shanghai, es un productor musical y DJ independiente. Inspirado en el grime y dubstep británicos tempranos, lanzó tres EPs centrados en la música bass en 2014, 2017 y 2023 en los sellos Rankadank, Push & Pull y Gully Riddim respectivamente. También ha participado en varios lanzamientos de sellos como Dohits, Genome 6.66 Mbp, CVLT, OOFB, Sea Cucumber, Functionlab, S!LK y Yeti Out. Puedes escuchar los mixes de ZEAN en plataformas como Rinse FM, NTS Radio, i-D, Boiler Room y KEEP HUSH. Además, ha colaborado con músicos como P-Money, CharitySSB, G94 y Gnucci produciendo beats para ellos. En 2016, ZEAN y su amigo ALK co-fundaron el sello musical y fiesta Gully Riddim, dedicado a promover y descubrir más artistas locales y eventos musicales.

Después de un período tranquilo, ZEAN regresa con su cuarto EP en solitario, "No Roots", bajo el sello Gully Riddim. Estas pistas fueron producidas durante la pandemia y son notablemente diferentes a su trabajo anterior. Utiliza una atmósfera sombría y ritmos fragmentados e impredecibles, combinados con diversas muestras de sonido distorsionadas y sobrecargadas de humanos y animales, intentando diversificar su sonido y liberarse de su enfoque creativo estereotipado y fijo. Esto también es una forma de autocrítica contra esta tierra culturalmente estéril. El EP incluye cinco pistas de ZEAN, junto con dos remixes, uno del productor argentino Jaiiu y otro del productor sudafricano Jumping Back Slash. Ambos remixes reducen los sonidos experimentales de los originales, simplifican el ritmo de la canción y los cambios estructurales, haciéndolos más aptos para la pista de baile.

Inspired by early British grime and dubstep, he released three EPs focused on bass music in 2014, 2017, and 2023 on the labels Rankadank, Push & Pull, and Gully Riddim respectively. He has also been involved in various label releases such as Dohits, Genome 6.66 Mbp, CVLT, OOFB, Sea Cucumber, Functionlab, S!LK, and Yeti Out. You can hear ZEAN's mixes on platforms such as Rinse FM, NTS Radio, i-D, Boiler Room, and KEEP HUSH. After a quiet period, ZEAN returns with his fourth solo EP, "No Roots" on Gully Riddim. These tracks were produced during the pandemic and are distinctly different from his earlier work. He uses a sombre atmosphere and fragmented, unpredictable rhythms, combined with various distorted and overloaded sound samples of both humans and animals, attempting to diversify his sound and break free from his own stereotypical and fixed creative approach. This is also a form of self-criticism against this culturally barren land. The EP includes five of ZEAN's tracks, along with two remixes, one by Argentinian producer Jaiiu and another by South African producer Jumping Back Slash. Both remixes reduce the experimental sounds of the originals, simplifying the song's rhythm and structural changes, and making them more friendly for the dance floor.

rom the vibrant music scenes of Argentina and Montreal, Jaijiu and SIM join forces to release their highly anticipated single "AYOYE" on Terminal.

Jaijiu, the producer's favorite producer, hails from Argentina and the depths of Soundcloud. Influenced by the sounds of Argentine clubs, Jaijiu reimagines folklore with a powerful energy. His explorations of Latin American rhythms and percussion create baile-core tools that ignite dance floors and keep everyone moving. He has worked closely with colleagues in Buenos Aires to develop a new sound that is rapidly spreading across other hemispheres.

On the other hand, SIM pushes the limits of Sound System Music from Montreal, gaining worldwide recognition. Drawing inspiration from the Dub and Dancehall theories of legends like Lee 'Scratch' Perry and King Tubby, as well as the innovation of Techno pioneers like Plastikman and Jeff Mills, SIM delves into the interplay between space, body, and sound. Since his notable release 'Pu$$ycat' in 2018, SIM has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, expanding his work and reaching new heights.

Additionally, the release will feature an exclusive remix by Con Secuencias, a Mexico-born, Montreal-based sound artist known for his work on immersive platforms and his ability to blend pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican sounds with cumbia, tribal, UK Bass, and footwork. His remix brings an additional unique dimension to this release, offering hybrid tools for the dance floor.

"AYOYE" is a powerful fusion of cultural and musical influences. This Québécois word expresses both pain and astonishment, encapsulating the intensity and surprise of this new single.

El urbex o las exploraciones urbanas son una afición que consiste en adentrarse en lugares abandonados, en lo desconocido y en lo profundo. En el compilado anterior presentamos al personaje que iniciaría estas exploraciones; ahora, comenzamos con la aventura de la exploración en sí misma.
¿Cuál es la profundidad que reside en la creación? ¿Es esa que se encuentra en la soledad, en la conexión con nuestro propio pensamiento, emoción y experiencia?
Entramos a ese espacio interior, alejados de las distracciones interminables, para reconectar con lo más genuino de nuestro ser. Pero, ¿por qué buscamos ese espacio interior? Tal vez porque en ese lugar oculto dentro de nosotrxs, alejado del ruido del mundo, podemos encontrar lo esencial que nos define.
Al enfrentarnos con las partes oscuras de nuestro ser, aquellas que solo nosotrxs podemos ver, nos enfrentamos a nuestras vulnerabilidades y miedos más profundos. ¿Es en esa confrontación donde realmente nos encontramos con nuestra autenticidad?
Tal vez la afición por explorar espacios abandonados sea un recordatorio de que, para encontrar la belleza y la autenticidad de nuestro ser, necesitamos sumergirnos en lo profundo, en lo desconocido, en lo que ha quedado olvidado e inclusive en lo incómodo.
Es en esa quietud donde la creación puede florecer, ya que nos damos el permiso de explorar lo que no está a la vista, lo que normalmente queda oculto bajo el bullicio de la vida diaria.

Urbex, or urban explorations, is a hobby that involves delving into abandoned places, the unknown, and the depths. In the previous compilation, we introduced the character who would begin these explorations; now, we begin with the exploration itself.
What is the depth that resides in creation? Is it the one found in solitude, in the connection with our own thoughts, emotions, and experiences?
We enter that inner space, away from the endless distractions, to reconnect with the most genuine part of ourselves. But why do we seek that inner space? Perhaps because in that hidden place within us, away from the noise of the world, we can find what is essential and defines us.
By confronting the dark parts of ourselves, the ones only we can see, we face our deepest vulnerabilities and fears. Is it in that confrontation where we truly encounter our authenticity?
Perhaps the fascination with exploring abandoned places is a reminder that, to find the beauty and authenticity of our being, we need to dive deep, into the unknown, into what has been forgotten.
It is in that stillness where creation can flourish, because we give ourselves permission to explore what is not immediately visible, what is usually hidden beneath the hustle and bustle of daily life.
