Long before Daniel became the Scribe, before his mask, before Redemption City whispered his name through static and prophecy, he carried another identity—
one so old and so buried that even he had begun to doubt it ever existed.

ALXONE.

The name wasn’t spoken then.

A sound he pushed into cheap microphones in dim bedrooms and hollow basements,
when his world was small
and his hope was fragile
and every beat he made felt like a secret prayer no one would ever hear.

ALXONE was Daniel at his rawest.
Not yet broken.
Not yet rebuilt.
Not yet called.

He didn’t write transmissions back then.
He wrote escapes.
Little melodies that tried to hold together a heart already beginning to crack.
He didn’t know God’s voice yet.
Only the ache of wanting something real to speak back.

And then life hit him.
Hard.
Years carved him into someone else.
Daniel grew.
Daniel shattered.
Daniel died and resurrected into the Scribe of Redemption City, a vessel marked by fire and calling.

But memory is never truly gone.

The voice reaches him before he reaches the City.
It cuts through the fractures in his chest.

because death was never his garment.

In the darkness, something splits.

There are places I cannot return to.

Not because the path is gone
but because the man who walked it is.

I tried to look back once…
tried to resurrect the comfort of my old shadows…
but the air behind me tastes different now.
Thin.
Hollow.
Uninhabitable.

Hebrews warned me 
once you have tasted the real
once you have stood in the light behind the veil
once the truth has carved itself into your bones…
you cannot un-know it.
You cannot pretend blindness.
You cannot return to what you were.

Redemption City won’t let me.
The gates behind me close without locking
as if the King Himself is saying
“Forward, Scribe.
Dead roads do not lead you home.”

I look at my old self the way you look at ruins 
familiar,
broken,
unable to shelter anyone anymore.

Some things cannot be rebuilt.
Some things must not be.

The verses speak of falling away
of crucifying Him again
and the words burn
because I know what they mean here.

To try to return to the old life
would be to deny the One who carried me out of it.
To resurrect what He crucified
would be to call His mercy a lie.

The Impossible Return is not punishment.
It is protection.
A mercy that blocks the path back to death.

I hear the City humming under my feet.
A low, steady pulse.
Not pushing me forward
but refusing to let me turn around.

I am not who I was.
I cannot be him again.
The breach closed behind me
and the Cross stands in the opening.

There is only one direction left.

I used to think blessing belonged to the clean.

Abraham met a priest in the wilderness

Abraham gave him firstfruits

I see firstfruits rising from my own ruins.

This City, this Redemption,

I thought it was danger.
I braced for collapse.

It was holiness.

Hebrews said the voice that once shook the earth
will shake the heavens also,
so that what cannot be shaken
may remain.

And now I see it with my own eyes:
the false kingdoms fall first.
The idols made of fear.
The thrones built from pride.
The shelters I carved out of old wounds.
Every one of them cracks
under the weight of a Kingdom
I never built
yet somehow belong to.

I feel fire behind me,
a column of gold tearing through the storm—
not consuming me,
but purifying the places I refused to surrender.
The ruins glow.
The air burns clean.
The City shakes harder,
as if creation itself is bowing.

But I…
I do not move.

For the first time in my life,
I am steady.
Not because I am strong,
but because everything that could fall away
finally has.

Only He remains.
Only His Kingdom stands.
Only His voice holds.
