In 2006 SPL & Limewax released a hugely influential mix that changed my perception of drum & bass forever. They combined teenage fury with unrivaled studio skills and a good deal of black humor into what was later labelled "Skullstep". To this day the SPL & Limewax Knowledge Mix is nothing but essential!

Una inmersión cruda y experimental en la toxicidad de las falsas amistades. Dagonet nos presenta una pista que no busca la perfección, sino la catarsis; un lienzo sónico donde la verdad resuena más fuerte que cualquier técnica pulcra.

Esta pieza es la culminación sonora del hartazgo ante la hipocresía, la envidia y las falsas promesas. El título, "Tears and laments for my fake friends", encapsula la decepción profunda y el adiós definitivo a esas falsas apariencias.

Musicalmente, Dagonet opta por la experimentación deliberada: la saturación y el clipeo son elementos intencionales que añaden una textura áspera y real, reflejando el ruido y la fricción emocional de las relaciones rotas. El side-chain es trabajado de forma atípica, invitando a una escucha que varía según el equipo, transformando el error técnico en una declaración de estilo.

Construida sobre una base de samples con inspiración de librerías de Skybreak y Joe B gaga, esta pista es menos una composición acabada y más un grito auténtico. Es el sonido de la honestidad.
