Team GB rolls through with a new 4-track release – the Mosquito Groove EP – packed with percussive tracks to bring energy to any set. The title track sets the mood at 160bpm with rolling cowbells and a lead that will buzz its way into your brain. Next up the frenetic ‘Uncertain Arrhythmia’ pushes things up a notch with 808s bouncing amongst anxious synthesisers. Hypnotic bongos are the mainstay of the next track ‘Omamanu’ which draws influence from the new speed-dembow movement popularised by Siu Mata and Amor Satyr. Finally we come back down to Earth via ‘Hey’ which is as insistent as it is catchy.

For our 18th Nightime Drama podcast, we are proud to present Sydney based DJ/Producer and NTD resident Oscar.Mike

Oscar.Mike has been steadily carving out a name for himself over the last few years, having performed under a number of aliases drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sounds and genres. Oscar is an avid record collector with an expansive collection of techno, house, breaks and dub, who can always maintain an accessibility that ensures he is able to connect with the dance floor.

This versatility has seen him become a trusted choice for promoters to support acts like Shlomo, Deadbeat, Batu and Pearson Sound in years past. Having also turned his hand to production, we released Oscar’s first digital EP where it gained the attention of Claude Young, Luigi Tozzi, Benjamin Damage, and many others. 

Get ready for a treat, as Oscar.Mike showcases a 4 deck mixing hybrid live set combining loops of his own productions and sections of tracks from some of his favourite artists.

'We are creeping our way out of this year's crap and we are ready for a new year of delicious fresh crap.

The global pandemic kept us from dancing and socializing and we had to reinvent our homes and egos. What we learned from it is that we are not alone and that Rave is here to stay and can unfold it's magic in livestreams, radioshows and Chatrooms.

We met so many new friends this way and stayed in contact with old ones and we want to thank everyone who was delivering top content just naturally and uncommercially all year to stay sane and creative. We we want to celebrate this with both a digital and a tape release!

So we can all listen to it in our warm and comforting homes and forget for a little moment how fucked up our world is.
