Just a little ditty of a small southwest country town, so small you blink, you could miss it. Capitan features the birthplace of Smokey the Bear and is located in Lincoln Co. NM where Billy The Kid was jailed and broke out and shot the sheriff, Pat Garrett. The singer Terry Bullard lives in Ruidoso and frequents Capitan!
