I received this LP Album from Cuz'n Kenny in 1971 while living in Concord, CA where my mother was pregnant with my brother Darren.  When Darren was born Kenny and the DELTONES were on tour.  He learned of Darren's birth and sang "Welcome to my world".  My Grandmother Mildred Sanders was at the show.

If you knew Kenny like I knew Kenny you could read so much between the lines on this song.  Since he left us April 21, 2011 a part of me has been missing.

We use to sing this on the Auxvasse Creek back in the 60's.  Cuz'n Kenny Vandeloecht, Vernon Vandeloecht and Walter Ray Vandeloecht along with Billie Payne and family.  Tammy and Scotty were there too.  So was Becky, Missy and Rusty.

I grew up listening to Bobby Helms and loved everything he did.  This is his version with a bit of my person touch without veering away from the original which is exactly as it should've sounded then and as it should sound now.  I hope you enjoy it.
