This impro is dedicated to the memory of Franco Battiato, a great artist who left this world last week. I have known his artistic production since the 70s, in the 80s I brought some of his hits in concert with a band, in 1997 an interview with him changed my way of seeing many things, in 2009 I tried to know  this great artistic and mystical personality and then I continued to follow his art. 
Unfortunately everything ends and he too has left us to turn into fire, earth, water and air .... I invite you to listen to his thoughts in his artistic production.
May his great soul rest in peace and continue to produce its wonders.

This piece includes audio recorded around my home in the jungle, manipulated cassette 4-track tracks recorded in Chicago in the mid-1990s, and hand-held tape recordings from Bowling Green, Ohio, in the mid-1980s. Other tracks were recorded more recently. This is the first in a series of pieces that will focus on layering tracks from different decades, periods, and geographical locations in my life--and will also incorporate voices of people close to me. My solo work is generally non-narrative, or minimally narrative, but this piece is specifically a narrative of a journey to several distinctly different places. But each listener will invent what those places are. The idea was also to make something that will reward multiple listens over long periods of time, mirroring the content of the work.
