The machinists of MinimalRome have been busy while their capital was in lockdown, beavering away at their banks of equipment while contracting likeminded knob jerkers to their cause, as well as this six tracker. Flying the home flag we have Teslasonic (Gianluca Bertasi) and Heinrich Dressel (Valerio Lombardozzi). Bertasi, still fresh from his recent appearance on Bar Records, opens with the fiery and frigid funk of “Cyber Flow.” Raw and distorted chords are further cooled by sharp beats and cold computer chords. Lombardozzi counters these arctic blasts with the warming autumnal subtlety of “Ombre Et Lumiere.” Plant43 finds a balance between these two fronts with the vast crystalline expanse of “Breaks the Surface.” A disperse melody tiptoes through the thin spinneys of drums with broad gusts of bass unsettling the tranquillity.

The tone changes immediately on the flip with Cosmic Force taking the helm. Percussive patterns dare to break ranks as the dutchman compresses a squalid acid line down to a stark syrup. Toms rumble and pop with industrial menace dancing with mutant electro-funk for “Deny Evil’s Existence.” A daringly brilliant piece. Another stalwart of all-things acidic follows, the Austrian duo and Trust mainstays Microthol. Their offering, “More Detections” is a notably off-kilter piece, stumbling snares attempt to find stability through a haze of ghosting samples and aquatic submersion. The finale comes from a completely different place. Returning from an appearance on Trame Due, Sonobe delivers the sumptuous elegance of “Another Frame.” Esoteric and fragile, the track shimmers on cascading notes before melting away all too quickly.

Urbi Et Orbi 4 comes fourteen years after the first compilation of the series and it has followed in the footsteps of its siblings. As in previous collections, a raft of styles occupies this 12”—everything from deep ambience and icy electro to acid deviance. There are tracks that challenge the listener on each side, there are also soothing refrains that offer space for reflection. A perfect expression of a label that has grown over almost two decades, that has faced trials and tribulations and has again, and again, overcome them and shone.

The MinimalRome "Urbi et Orbi" franchise debuts in 2006, juxtaposing Rome-based producers to others around the globe ("urbi et orbi" can be translated as "to the city and to the world") featuring -- in time, amongst others -- Legowelt, Rude 66, Mick Wills, Andrea Benedetti, Ra-X, Polysick, The Exaltics. This fourth chapter delivers a vinyl EP compilation with monster electro tracks by Teslasonic, Plant43, Cosmic Force and Microthol, plus a couple of synthorama joints by Heinrich Dressel and Sonobe.

The music of Synced Voltage is heavily inspired by Detroit electro and techno, electro funk and early Chicago house.

Having been subjected to electronic music since the early 90s,i've listened to many records from the european and dutch electronic music (rave) scene. Due to rave being so new and so promiment in europe it absorbed my musical attention fully. 
In recent years I came to realise that I never really got to understand how the electronic music scene started. In doing my research (what a trip! so many good early music) I started to hear more early detroit electro and techno. With a healthy respect for electronic music being a small producer myself, I listened with educated ears and was impressed by how good, deep and intenful this style of music was and the records that got produced. Hearing so much good music, real electronic music, it led to me creating the alias Synced Voltage. 

As of late 2023 I have started producing electro for the very first time. This sound, this style is from a production standpoint new to me, but yet so understandable and relateable. On here you will hear tracks finding my way as I learn about early electro and finding my own sound.

Don't expect 'one' type of sound. While diving into electro I am also learning about gear that was used back then which inspired me to try and incorporate it for a more authentic classic vibe and see where it leads. 
It's an exciting journey and this account is me sharing that journey with you.

There is no god, only people using the others' need of finding purpose in their insignificant existence.

There is no satan neither, satan is creation of the "holy" people to keep the believers scared, and thus easily controlled, obeying the true demons which those preachers serve - also people like you and me.

Hell is real, and it is on Earth. If you don't get what I mean, you are either part of the lucky minority or too stupid, or probably both.

The true evil does not like those educated in a way to be able to tell right from wrong without their shepherd.

Being kind to all and everything is purpose good enough. The evil always comes as an angel of light and gradually prevails. Those who truly believe that their purpose is to lead the others in the right direction are to be feared the most.

Providing proper education is fighting against evil. Perhaps your mother or first grade teacher is the real hero - those who fight in wars kill people.

p.s. They might say I'm fucked up.  Some like and pay to watch movies that scare them shitless, often involving a lot of blood and murder – isn’t that fucked up? These days, I can listen to 70-80s and nowadays truly good music more and more rarely. Actually, I have never had my own TV. Тhe TV news I catch in friends or relatives usually make me sad. It seems most people are interested in others' suffering more than anything else - the majority of them definitely deserve their faith.

p.s.2 This is my current view and I don't pretend it is right. It might change, everything changes.
