Mainframe Recordings head honcho DisasZt will be celebrating his birthday in the best possible way this year; he’s a releasing an almighty beast of a track to add some fire to these cold December nights. Get ready for the heat because “Winter Is Coming”.



Disaszt’s 2020 discog’s list this has been one full of collaborations, with eclectic tracks which span the happier, upbeat, pop-laced dance-floor vibe, to the downright, tear-out, techy twisters, however “Winter Is Coming” reminds us of the darker, more rough and ready side of the Austrian maestro.



Here we undoubtedly have a heads-down, 3 am bubbler. Introducing the single is a twisted and techy cinematic soundscape, slowly building intensity with every anticipating note, an eerie vocal adds an extra layer of malcontent to an already dark intro. Rather than an explosion of sound, the drop reveals a continued level of unsettling and highly un-expected calm. The sci-fi swaths which dominate the melody create a constant level of menace which continually simmers just below boiling point, while the clean breaks below replicate an ever forward-marching, unwavering descent into darkness.
