This session was a fun one. They started mellow and built it up so nicely. Someone climbed a tree and got a bit too high so security tried to chase them out and it was just a vibe. DJing by that sea in the morning at sunrise is just so nice and they nailed it. Here's 60 minutes of good.

I've been playing at Love International for ten years now (11 if you consider the year we started) and I've found records that are absolute favourites that for me suit the setting perfectly and they get an airing every year. For example Lark's 'Tedra'. A record that sounds perfect in that setting by the sea... Anyway, here's me from 6am

These two were so great. ddwy are making brilliant music right now and they showed their influences when they came down to play an hour of music for us. Very much a blissed out sound running from Underworld to slowed down Hypnotone and on... It was such a nice session and they nailed it.

TP532 ddwy (Love International Sunrise Sessions)

Christophe is out of Bristol and (he'll hate me saying this) is mega talented across the board. He can just make stuff. His paintings are incredible and he can tur his hand to whatever he chooses. Aside form that he's got perfect taste for a Sunrise Session set. I know him for his fine selections of deep house but this year he came with a bag of balearic beats and they sounded perfect next to the water. A lovely set.

TP533 Christophe (Love International Sunrise Sessions)

John has lovely taste in music which often incorporates more of a world sound. He has a killer show on NTS and throws the Tangent parties alongside Nick The Record. John played a wide ranging set going round the houses in perfect fashion and it was great to hear more of a world sound in those trees at 9am in the morning. A lovely lovely time.

Eiji Taniguchi may be a new name to some but not only has he got perfect taste in a world of music many of us love he is also the co-compiler of those gorgeous Virtual Dreams compilations on Music From Memory which explore the worlds of ambient house, deep techno and artificial intelligence leaning business. They are just perfect and, as many of you know, were compiled alongside Jamie Tiller. Jamie had amazing taste in music so this sort of explains the quality of music Eiji is exploring.

Running Hot is producer and DJ Mark Newman. He discovered rave when he was 13 via a tape from his mate at school which has led to a lifelong love affair. He is is orignally from South Wales and now resides in Berlin running with the Love On The Rocks crew... This mix is based on his love of Italo-house. It's a nice one... Enjoy.

"I recorded this one in the middle of another frosty and grey morning in Berlin so I wanted to try and conjure up some of the spirit of summer. I’d had the idea for a while to try and do a mix with a lot of very pitched down Italo-house stuff so that it almost starts to sound a bit like kwaito and has a nice laid back feel… So here it is! Hope you enjoy!"

Toby Tobias is a London don. He quietly makes and releases some of the most messed up records out there. He made our last Discotecas release, runs the Voice Notes label and is a wicked DJ who is unafraid to rock a party with an 'anything goes' attitude. He's done us a dub / dancehall mix with live fx, bleeps and more... Spring is here, the sun is out, things are on the up and this is the perfect soundtrack. Press play and enjoy.

This mix is from Palm Pilot and Break Mode under their moniker Freak Out! and it references a lot of things they play at their nights in Portland. They like to ride the wave where genres collide and create euphoric moments that can be exciting or excite them at least. They take the dancefloor along for the ride.

Auntie Flo aka Brian d’Souza is back with a new album 'Birds of Paradise' on his imprint A State of Flo which we've just reviewed on the site. We like Flo or Brian d’Souza as he is known to his mum. He wrote a really great article about how hard it is to be an independent artist these days and seems really honest both in his approach and his music. Which brings us nicely to this mix which pulls together all his nice afro ethno influences before zoning out into a horizontal come down... It's a lovely journey.



TP550 Auntie Flo

Christopher Tubbs has been releasing music for nearly 25 years now... Both as Antlantic Conveyor and under his own Tubbs name and in recent years he's linked with Eden Burns as Burns and Tubbs on Public Possession to release music that is just nailing it. It's awlays really well produced and has a perfect mix of club groove and melodic hooks to drive the music along. He's also been a DJ for as long as I can remember... So to the mix... All you need to know is it has A Guy Called Gerald's 'I Won't Give In' on it which is one of the finest records known to man... It also moves through lovely balearic stuff into more clubby moments... A very enjoyable ride.
