I am once again honored to have guitarist Harry Jacobson join me on this dual guitar instrumental fusion track titled “CLOCK IS TICKING”.
What starts off as a repeating set of three cool sounding suspension chords accompanied by a simple repeating motif, quickly builds up and morphs in multiple layers of guitar-work by both myself and Harry.
I really enjoyed the many additional musical ideas that Harry brought forth, that helped propel this simple futuristic sounding concept to life.

Inspired by the short story, “Exhalation,” by Ted Chiang.

What I wanted to put into my music is the idea that memories are connected to the breath. I recorded my breaths and took words from Ted Chiang’s story and mixed it up with, yes, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police ;-P Field recordings are files I found on my phone unlabeled - memories I had forgotten until I dug them back up. Once I put breath back into them, I could feel the life in these sounds.

Night Lurker [ naviarhaiku547 ]

The Cedar Ballad is my latest sonopoem written in the form of a quatrain ballad, which is an old traditional form of verse.

It is accompanied by multiple tracks of field recording I took in Fez,Morocco this year and that I mixed to create a story. 
It offers sounds from the Medina, the local tannery, the looming and dyeing processes, kids and kittens, the Cedar Forest in the Middle Atlas.
