Barry Paranoid - Acoustic Rollercoaster

All of these songs are part of a trilogy project I've been writing and working on since 2014. It's still in a rough draft stage, but I hope to release this one day within this new 2020 decade, complete with a full band. The trilogy starts with "14 Razourblades : All The Good Dreams End", which is already uploaded on this Soundcloud page. Then the songs on this concept compilation album (in order) will be the second part. The third part is still being written.

The story starts in 14 Razourblades with a couple that had a brutal breakup, where the man was being severely abused within said relationship. Upon breaking up, at some point in the near future, she fell deathly ill and opted in to upload her consciousness into a virtual world database, along with others that had done so. However, upon finding out about this, the man goes to hold up the lab and demands to be uploaded into the same database world for some unfinished business. The lab scientists agree, since they were being held at gun point, and when the upload was successful, the man fizzled into existence in a new body with all of his memories intact. He sets out on a quest to find the girl that ruined him, to finally avenge himself in this new, lawless world. After much monologuing and questing, he finally finds her, and upon doing so she falls in love with him, again. However, she didn't know who he was, and she was also different (meaning he also had to do some sleuthing, as someone had to know her truth). After finally making love one last time (the first and only time in this new world), he turns on her, proceeds to hack the mainframe and take over the virtual world, in its entirety. In doing this, he also made sure to erase all of her memories, and made her unable to remember any version of him, before, during, and after (This is where Oddly Even ends).

Part 3, which is still TBD as far as title goes, the man whom had taken over the mainframe, becomes the new king. He rules over the world with an iron grip. He's not a tyrant, and grants total freedoms to all, with the exception of anything that would hurt another living/dead/inanimate thing. He had to hack into the girl, as she became royalty, and owned part of the mainframe. This is how he took control of literally everything. Each song in this part would be from the perspective of the people, the royalty, and the supreme leader, with occasional environmental songs that speak on the conditions and layouts of how everyday life is, during the day and at night, in the city and even out in the wild. The story will ultimately end with the assassination of the supreme leader, causing the entire mainframe/virtual world to collapse, deleting everyone and everything within it. The final song looks at the real world one last time, except so much time has passed, as time moves differently between worlds. What was 1 year in the virtual world was more than 100 years in the real world. The virtual domain was kept alive in a special vault, only for a resistance within it to take it all down from the inside. The vault, losing access to what it was powering, shuts down. All the lights turn off. Thus, all the good dreams end.
