New episode... 026. This CD is from Tyrant aka Craig Richards, Lee Burridge (& occasionally Sasha). The disc was released in the year 2002 on via Fabric and holds special memories for the 40 of us on the bus heading down to The Bomb in Nottingham each month, a tiny basement club with white walls, low ceilings and just a red and blue strobe light (if I remember correctly). At the time... this party was without doubt the one to be at in the country and arguably the world. The trio created a dubby, sexy sound which went onto create some of the most respected underground dj careers in the world. Awesome music and great times indeed.

All Digital mix of his early tunes. From his first one on Cert 18 up to the end of his initial run of heavily breaks based tunes around 1996. His beats went more tech and sparse in 97 but this selection is peak Think, Amens, bongos and Apaches coupled with trademark dubwise basslines. Real Kemistry & Storm tunes. His production back then was pretty loose and experimental and it all adds to the ragged dubbed out flavour running side by side with the crunchy pads, strings and atmospherics. Proper deep journey tunes especially given the unmistakable influence of Photek on his music at that time... Only got through half the tracks I had pulled out in 90mins so this is prob Round One. About the CD:
001 of the Classic Mix CD collection. This mix immediately sprung to mind and an major contender for all time favourite mix CD. (It's seems like a few of you guys think the same). A hands in the air, feel good garage (and house) banger with many many memories attached. I think I bought this in 1997, two years after leaving school, going to college, working at McDonalds's and clubbing up and down the country once a month alongside weekly/daily night outs in Sunderland.
