The first year and a half of my time in Finland was spend in Mikkeli studying for my MBA. One day on the way to the pool the weather was particularly cold (-30 C). The kind of cold that makes the hair inside your nose freeze. Then, off in the distance, I heard.....

THE ICE CREAM TRUCK! And I thought, 
What kind of country is this that the ice cream truck is out at -30 C.  

So I asked some kids,  "How can you eat ice cream at -30?" and they said, "Well, your ice cream lasts forever at -30."

What smart children!  I had to write a song about it. It was then that I knew Finland would be a place of great learning well beyond school
