Otherwise, cattle sales over the Memorial Day Weekend were good in South Texas.  The is an increasing concentration of summer crops being devoted to silage in the Texas Panhandle.  It is expensive to protect hay from the weather.  Barn storage is the best method of protection.  There are challenges to growing turf grass in shade in Texas.
