Welcome to the fourth episode of this podcast series in which I have the pleasure of hosting a Scottish friend “Tony Scott a.k.a Edit Select”with whom I'm sharing some projects including the next Outis release  “Mnemosyne EP”
which will be released on 16/ 05/ 2014.
To lighten these days of waiting I was able to convince Tony to delight us with a mix and it seems that it has succeeded well with him.

Giorgio Gigli [Zooloft, Prologue, LINEAL] Italy

Giorgio Gigli’s music is a highly intense and extremely personal form of communication, borne from a lifetime spent collecting and exploring electronic dance music. 

Inspired by bleak lunar landscapes, his compositions convey very distinct moods and atmospheres. It’s from his feelings he generates sound waves, transforming them into unusual frequencies, drones, beats & abstract melodies to create sophisticated and hypnotic rhythms, resulting in a very deep, thoughtful and elegant form of techno with a strong minimalist imprint.

He release his music on a selected network of labels, from Prologue, where his Magnetic Field and Observation Document Eps (an incredible voyage between space ad time, where the claustrophobic atmospheres and the micro sounds reflect the personality of the artist) were released and very well received, to niche underground labels such as Aconito and Zooloft.

As a DJ Giorgio’s sets vary from ultra deep ambient-influenced sounds through to intense rhythmic techno, and like his productions are characterised by a strongly hypnotic vibes and atmospheres.

This is an artist with a very clear vision of the future.

Ness began his electronic music journey in the late 90's and his evolving interest and passion soon encouraged him to start a dj career experimenting with various genres – from trance to pure experimental. With a background in sound engineering and many years of research and fine-tuning, he gradually developed a distinct personal style with a strong focus on atmosphere combined with hypnotic vibes. In 2007 he opened his own record store in his hometown in Sardinia (Italy) and 2 years later he founded his first label - Mono Records.  Currently he is running TGP - an independent platform established since 2010 with Claudio PRC.

Acknowledged for his individual style, Ness has worked with labels like Phorma (SW), Synewave (USA), Dynamic Reflection (NL), M_Rec Ltd. (IT), Informa (UK), Prologue (DE), etc. and collaborated with artists like Claudio PRC, Deepbass, Attemporal, Rasmus Hedlund, etc. 

Ness music and dj sets are well accepted and defined as an exploration of wide range of deep and hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Luis Villola aka Leekd is a young DJ / Producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Luis's first musical calling was playing the drums, but that was before discovering minimal-techno. The rest, as they say, is history. 

This change in direction led Luis to Sonica, where he studied music production under the gifted Javier Ferreira for three years. 

Now starting his own journey, this promising new artist is fusing analogue and digital together in his search for his own new sounds.

It contains a light yet calm rhythm throughout the whole mix, and was almost like leading the ears and mind to somewhere mysterious; or yet was following the vibe along a long corridor to a hidden wonderland?

Italian DJ and electronic music producer born in 1987 in Sardinia, based in Berlin. Co-founder of TGP.

Claudio PRC is an italian deep techno specialist who takes cues from avant-garde and ambient music as well as the abyssal echoes of early hypnotic acid and dub. He’s been active as a DJ and producer since 2006 and released his records mainly on Prologue Music and Semantica Records. Co-founder of The Gods Planet label, from 2018 he’s resident DJ in one of Prague’s most valued clubs, Ankali, where he curates the Volumi Dinamici night.
