"text2field-recordings" is a sound art project within Sound Development City 2013 in Lisboa and Marseille.
Sept. 28th we had a presentation in the beautiful backyard of Palácio Sinel de Cordes. Six participantes from the workshop performed and I finished this presentation with sounds from the soundcontainer "tech-stuff".  All sounds used had been recorded by Fátima Ribeiro, Catarina Almeida, Catarina Reis, Viriato Augusto de Sousa Menezes, Rodolopho Martins, Gonçalo Pires, Herwig Turk and Wolfgang Dorninger in Lisboa from September 25th to 26th.

"text2field-recordings" is a sound art project within Sound Development City 2013 in Lisboa and Marseille.

"text2field-recordings" is a sound art project within Sound Development City 2013 in Lisboa and Marseille.
Oct. 9th we had a presentation at La Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille. All sounds used have been recorded in Marseille (0ct.5th - 9th) by Wolfgang Dorninger with various microphones. Performed live by Wolfgang Dorninger.

The first text I've performed was: Marseille is a loud boombox pumping rap beats layered with different colors of tongue, sometimes quiet.

The second: In the 7th district even the seagulls are silent!

The sound intervention text2field-recording is based on field recordings gathered by workshop participants and the artist during the expedition, focussing on nature and technology. The recordings will be gathered in ‘Sound Containers’, unveiling the sound patterns and –systems of the cities. The citizens of Lisbon and Marseille will be invited to provide short texts describing “the sound of their city“. These texts will be transformed through a self-written software, to become a composition based on the previously created ‘Sound Containers’.
