This piece embodies the culmination of over 250 hours of interviews and 3 years of research and analysis into the methods and inspirations of some of the world’s greatest musicians, artists, producers, actors, politicians, comedians and creators of all kinds… 

Drawing on Illlustrious’s immense experience of soundscape creation and audience engagement, this rich mix of music, sonic impressionism and the beauty and meaning of the human voice has been recombined into a unique psychedelic, immersive three-dimensional experience designed for your listening pleasure.

The entire soundscape is 60 minutes long, and has been prepared here in binaural format, so people can listen at home or on the go (best enjoyed on headphones).

Track produced to back a video in remembrance of the 14 men of the British Army's Irish regiments (The Irish Guards & The Royal Irish Regiment) who have lost their lives in the 10 years since the war in Afghanistan (and Iraq) began.

To date (7th October 2001 - 6th October 2011), a total of 561 British Armed Forces personnel or MOD civilians have died while serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I have felt vulnerable and hesitant about publishing it. But I am increasingly inspired by the creative industry’s response to Brexit and satirisation of the Conservative Party’s agenda.

This project is a tool for protest. The tracks are free to download, mash up, reuse, reissue – and everything else in between. The songs may be posted anywhere and used in any way. Take them, listen to them, sample them and change them in whatever way best suits your cause.
