Long time ago, under the shining stars of the universe, a planet appeared which was later known as mars. Over the years many comets hit the beautiful planet and it was bound to happen that four mountains got formed which look exactly like four faces.
In 1968 international scientists worked on a top-secret project called “The Four Faces On Mars” trying to find appropriate faces of humans that looked like those of the four rocks of mars. Some scientists even called the faces “Mount Rushmore II.” which was quite suitable except each of the four mountains was about 100 times bigger. A rumor has it that the four faces even make a sound but it was never proved.
In 2011, four young musicians found together when they suddenly heard weird sounds. They did not know where the sounds came from so they started to listen attentively and realized that the tunes where coming from the universe above them. This unique sound pleased the musicians so much that they tried to play it with their instruments. It immediately worked. Each of them had their own voice.
Nevertheless it was quite scary for the four guys so they started to do researches when they suddenly found a top-secret file on the internet which was already buried in oblivion. They where horrified when they looked at the pictures of the mars which they found in this file.

The Four Faces on Mars - Earth & Mars

In 1969, NASA reported on the existence of four faces that were found on the surface of Mars. Linguists managed to communicate with the locals, trying to persuade the extraterrestrials to take on their first journey to Earth. In 2011 they finally arrived, bringing the greatest musical gift ever given to mankind. From lovely to spacy rock sounds, the alien newcomers were able to continuously enthuse massive audiences and thereupon decided to remain on Earth for a little while longer.

The Four Faces On Mars is an Austrian band that was formed in the beginning of 2011. The project was initiated by the young musician Marian Nicolas Feistritzer, who tried to unite spacy and futuristic ideas with the music of the 1960s and 70s. He brought together a quartet
of four young talented artists to actualize his concept.

The band’s first single “3008” came out in August 2012 and the production of their first album will start in October.

The Four Faces On Mars promise their audience a spacy, modern sound that is loveable for everybody. “It’s Mars Rock”, the young musicians say, though it can be described as alternative rock as well.
