A detailed imaginary fantasy world, often invented by children; can have a definite geography and language
- something existing solely in the imagination (but often mistaken for reality)

Avalon 62 is, as an alias to the more commonly known Aerium, a more conceptual and experimental one. Trademarked by speedy, 140 bpm melodic, dream trance with a tech edge.

The debut album of this moniker “alphanumeric” was released in 2008 on the now defunct Futurestate records and focussed on the storytelling-element of a mixed set with each track being specifically designed for its numerical position in the album.

Paracosm is a continuation of this concept. Weaving a story or “world” together in a 10 track album that should be seen (or heard) as a whole, rather than merely a collection of individual tracks.

"I’m very pleased to see this release on the brand new TF Recordings. A forum (and now label) consisting of die-hard trance veterans and genuine connoisseurs of the genre. Set up to be a pro-active platform in releasing what we think is great trance music quote: “we desperately need more underground labels in Trance. Do we have less than a handful? TranceFix Radio #16 - TF Best of 2023 Mix II - Mixed by A992

After creating the underground EOY mix of the user voted and my top 2023 content, there were so many tracks left on the table, especially from the ambient and downtempo ranges. A handful of the rated top tracks were so good, but they didn't really fit the EOY mix trajectory. It's hard to leave tracks like that on the table, but it was 100% necessary to make the cohesive journey I was after. That atmospheric, trippy, even housey vibe in mid and higher tempos often doesn't quite gel with the outwardly melodic and more... traditional?? trance style. Thus this mix developed, to explore the slower content fully, with plenty of breathing room, and to explore those left behind tracks. It's particularly dedicated to Archon, who had an extremely strong top 10 list, which I all but ignored the first go around.

It's a quite long mix honestly, ranging from 110-153bpm over 4.5 hours. Feel free to join anywhere along the way. The first 90 minutes explores the void, where one can get lost in the dreamy downtempo and ambiance. I fucking love the breaksy trancey downtempo that is coming from all over, and I don't often get to mix it. It takes so much time to build from, and if rushed, loses its impact. The mix slowly morphs in to prog and some trippy atmospheric driving content. Around the 3 hour marks things get wild. Enjoy this EOY Mix Part II, What Was Left Behind. Also there are a few 2022 tracks to fill in some gaps, as well as the intro from 1995. Sometimes you just need to break some rules. Enjoy.

Welcome along good people and thanks for joining us on this new series/concept, which we have been cooking for quite some time! Every once in a while a new idea starts growing and when we all have that funny feeling in our pants, it's time to grab it (The idea, calm down everyone) and go with it - so, what is this new concept, which we 100% came up with ourselves and no one has ever done before? Well, it's time to introduce..... drum roll please....

THE BEST OF 

I know, what an original idea - I can almost FEEL your excitement - "What is this BEST OF " you're talking about oh dear lord, what am I supposed to do with it?" Well, first off, all you have to do is just sit back and listen: Nothing else! Second; This is all about providing you the very best different labels have to offer and for this very first "The Best Of", we wanted to give you one of our favourite labels back in the "good old days" - we give you: 
JOOF RECORDINGS! 

Now, I already know what you're thinking: "Wait, if this is "THE BEST OF", why isn't x-track included? WHAT THE HELL" - and believe me, I do have a version of this mix where that specific track is included, but this is 50% track selection and 50% flow - it just didn't fit, okay! I truly tried, you must believe me! 

Ahem, sorry... so, back to JOOF Recordings; Back in the days we all got super excited when a new JOOF release got announced and with good reason; The tracks back then actually had melodies! But, to narrow it all down and make it a bit easier for us, we also decided on a certain era of JOOF Recordings, so all of these tracks are from 1999 to 2014 - why those years? Well, we had to stop somewhere. 

Grab a snack, pour a drink, get your headphones on, turn on your speakers and enjoy this 3 hour ride throughout the early years of one of our favourite labels back then; JOOF Recordings! Expect PLENTY of edits, small enhancements and re-arrangements of individual tracks and lots of love.

TranceFix Radio #19 - The Best Of JOOF Recordings - Mixed By Katadunkass

It's dark, the wind feels almost like ice on your face and above you the Moon is bright and full. It's a harrowing, yet beautiful night. The stars dancing on the night sky, clouds nowhere to be found and complete silence. 

The tower in front of you with a massive bell stands like a monument, a memory of a forgotten time. Surrounding you are hundreds of graves, each with their own name, date and message of forgotten love and in front of you is the one you seek. With flowers in one hand and a small torch in the other, you lay them down, trying to remember the person. 

All of a sudden a sound behind you interrupts your moment of peace. You turn around, but nothing's there. Again, the sound of gravel being moved around, of branches and leaves being pushed over. Your heart starts pounding and a feeling of unease starts creeping in. Suddenly the sound is around you, but you see nothing. Your feet feels heavy, you turn around and look down. The grave wasn't the grave you sought - instead of "Grandma" it says something else. Almost like... "idiot", but not quite. You move the torch closer in and the name finally reveals itself: Idiosyncrasy

By placing the flowers you've accidentally unlocked the forbidden hex - dead men, women and children all of a sudden starts raising from the graves to seek you out. Underneath you feel a pull. "The idiot!" you think to yourself, but it's too late. It has begun. You look up to read the sign: "raveyard" - music starts blasting from the empty tombs, the dead starts dancing and you can't help yourself. The night has only just begun and for the next couple of hours you're trapped in a dance - some might even say TRANCE.
