Reminiscing.

So,
I was about 16yo and was with my friends.
I’ve been already smoking and drinking for a year or so and was already more than tolerant towards it. One day my friends and I linked up with what I would call “extras” we had a main group but every now and then we added a few “extra” people into the mix to keep things interesting. This extras name was Dan. An alcoholic Caucasian male living in Hyde Park. Boston, Ma of course. He was well above our own ages but idk energy finds likeminded energy. And he could buy us alcohol. He figured we would like the pills he had. Told us they’d get us high but something we could control nothing like what he usually takes. Fair enough right? So we took them. I was pushing 300+ lbs at the time so when I took mine it did NOTHING. It was a dud. I acted like I was high around my friends. Met girls had a good time. Near the end of the song though and later that day I realized I fucked around and got actually high.

The beginning is dialogue between me and father as he was in my arms dying.

These questions come from a higher self. But in times of need they are presented when we are due for a metamorphosis, and I was past due.

This song is more or less a recording of the metamorphosis and inner turmoil that was present then surfaced during my fathers passing.

The infamous trip to Baltimore, Maryland. 
All expenses paid trip thanks to my loving ex girlfriend. A Greyhound Bus, No weed and unsolved problems rising to the surface. What do you do in all of this when you should be relaxing? You act like it’s not happening and make a song. At least, that’s what I did. I don’t remember the trip at all besides going there and this song. So this is a found memory of mine that I share with you. It highlights how it was honestly strange how most of the people at this time that supported me were actually competitors. Also the feeling of wanting to return to my roots. Where I didn’t need a glossed up beat (hence the simplicity in this track) and honestly didn’t need the craziest flow, just the words I’m my heart. I would usually would doubt the potency of them at this time but they obviously move people in ways I couldn’t appreciate. So I returned to that birthplace here. Another Jameson classic I won’t forget or delete.
