The Beat

This is house music that took a turn towards pop. It's like Derrick May meets a John Hughes movie. (Ferris Bueller crashing The Warehouse? Maybe).

Bad Influence

A remix of a song by The Twees, with apologies to their excellent rhythm section, who've sort of been "rewritten by machine on new technology." This version is meant to be a modern take on mid-'80s pop, equal parts The Human League and Hall & Oates. I'd Like To Be Your Friend (But Friendship Isn't Possible)

The Geometry of Love, besides being the band you're listening to, is a short story by John Cheever, about a guy who solves love mathematically. There's a parallel between using math to explain love, and using electronic music (one of the more mathematical genres) to depict a wide sweep of emotions, from being in love (there's that again) to driving home at 11:30 PM from a long day of working at a amusement park on the Jersey Shore.
	The Geometry of Love is also way cooler sounding than Alexander W.'s real name. When he's not making music, he's a filmmaker in New Jersey who tends to spend a lot of time at the library or the thrift store.
