A playlist full of tracks created by the writers, musicians and producers of our small art project "TGS Records" - this is the February edition. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in this. We have some people that had never written or recorded before now with music on tape and we have some seasoned pros as well. All as incredible as each other.

Paralysed by our own insignificance, unable to move

The 27th Prime Number

Someone is looking for his/her lover through the French underground hoping to find him/her at each station. Distortion. Lo-Fi is on purpose as it is the changes of rhythm to simulate the start and stop of train between stations. (French lyrics)

This song is about solitude and reminiscing of good days gone by in a western/coutnry feeling - bringing bit of Mark Knopfler style into it.

Empty Roads

This is the first track Doug (aka Doru - https://soundcloud.com/doru_uk) and I ever fully co-wrote, with each other or anyone. Big credits and kudos to Doru-Doug for the story, most of the lyrics (I only threw in verse 3), the melody and his epic bass and electric guitar contributions.

When The Curtain Falls

Better This Way (feat. Doru)

A wintery song that came out of a songwriting challenge to write a verse (or chorus) a day for a month. This one clearly originates from the one week of snow and ice we had this year. It's also the biggest I have ever gone (and probably ever will) on reverb. Cover photo (which inspired the first line) by Thomas Binns @theguitarsocial.

Silhouettes of leafless branches against a sky of grey
Pirouettes of breathless dancers, spinning across the lake
Snowmen watching from a distance, safe upon the shore
Pondering their strange existence, cold into the core.

The Echo...

TGS Records is a project celebrating the skills and talents of the people that circulate the TGS (The Guitar Social) world. It was first set up in 2020 and eventually evolved into a new music community, "The MusiCollective" (TMC) (@themusicollective).
