✨ Patrick Fasseau, better known as Pat Mackenzie, The Mackenzie, or simply Papa, is a true living legend of the Belgian electronic music scene. His remarkable journey has left its mark on generations of clubbers and DJs.

🕺 It all began at the age of 14, when he became resident at the family-owned Mackenzie Club, where he would play for an incredible 37 years!
🎶 In 1980, he opened his first record store, before taking over USA Import, a true institution for DJs from all across Europe.

💿 On the production side, he co-founded the iconic project The Mackenzie, with which he helped revolutionize Belgian trance. Tracks such as Higher in the Sky, I’m Free, Arpegia, and Innocence (which stayed #1 in Belgium for 54 weeks) became timeless classics. Their album Angel went straight to #1 in sales upon release, the very first time a Dance record achieved this in Belgium.

🏆 Awarded at the TMF Awards (Best Album, Best Group, Best Single), Pat Mackenzie established himself as an essential figure, performing in some of the most legendary clubs and festivals: La Bush, La Rocca, Fuse, Extreme, Balmoral, Ibiza, and even Tomorrowland (Age Of Love).

To this day, Pat continues to share his passion and energy, living up to his nickname: Papa, the mentor of an entire generation of electronic music lovers.

In my closing sets, everything revolves around that last surge of energy lingering in the air—the magnetic moment when the night holds its breath. In the intimate space of a smaller club, that energy hits even harder: the crowd packed close, the lights tracing every move, every kick landing with intention.

My sound leans into techno—driving, hypnotic, pulsing—yet always with room for the classics that shaped who we are on the dancefloor. Between deep basslines and relentless rhythms, familiar melodies slip in like old companions returning at just the right moment. Not to rewind time, but to amplify the present.

That blend makes the closing unique: modern fire fused with a touch of nostalgia, the rawness of now intertwined with the timeless echoes of then. Together with the crowd, I built those final hours into a point where energy, emotion, and memory collided. A night that didn’t just end—but concluded with intention, with force, and with an echo that lingers long after the lights come on.
