Liondub welcomes another fresh artist to his acclaimed International label. Raised in London by parents from Trinidad & Tobago, Doctor Roberts was influenced from an early age by the Reggae and Soca being played at home, and was further inspired by London’s powerful sound system culture.  Notting Hill Carnival, early Jungle dances, and the pirate stations that dominated the airwaves fueled Robert’s passion to DJ and produce music.  Fast-forward to 2024 and Liondub proudly offers up a refreshing 5 tracker that showcases Robert’s authentic, Reggae, Rave and UKG inspired Jungle Drum & Bass sound. This is no run of the mill EP from Doctor Roberts; these are dynamic songs that rekindle memories of the past, with a unique and powerful modern twist.

Lastly, we are given “Get Money” by PhoroptiC – a heavyweight roller with a throbbing bassline the likes of which you’ve never heard before. Joik is really breaking through at the moment and it's easy to see why. His mixing style and his tunes have a dark techy feel, like you're in hyperspace. This tune is no exception. Big subs in this one with techy sounding hats and a sound like you're counting down to a big explosion. Proper bassy tune big ratings for this one.
