-2025- JAMNS Collection (In Order)

This the "chill" EP I've been working on for a few months, with several collaborations. Mostly local friends from DFW, but specifically JBril, Blakk Mambo, Ronald Atienza, and Brian Sheppard. This will be the release coming out on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc. 

I do enjoy making chill tracks, but my heart is in heavy hitting bangers. As such, my next album/EP will be nothing but bangers. Stick around for the "end" of Don't Panic to see what I mean. 

Other than that, I'm going to try and make a track a week for March, and maybe a Youtube series of me going through my Jamns from Jamnuary. I hope you enjoy!

In Dub We Trust

How was your April? Mine went pretty swell. Instead of a track a week I was able to put more thought into one single track, and this is it. If you're hoping for something more...in your face, I do have something I'm working on. 

In the meantime I may release Angry Desire (from The Amalgamation) and Last Call (from ThassChill) together on SoundCloud. Although Last Call is TECHNICALLY at the end of Don't Panic, this would be the solo track itself without having to listen to the beginning of Don't Panic, ya feel me? And Angry Desire is not on SoundCloud at all, so it'll be some exposure to the people who don't know.

No Rush

This is my track for October! If you were expecting something spooky...I am sorry to disappoint. On the other hand this is my newest Latin-inspired track since Lose It on my album Leveling Up, and I think it goes pretty hard. I had a "spooky" track I collaborated with a friend on, but that is turning in another direction that may ultimately be better.

With all that being said: because I was not uploading for most of October I have several projects in the works. November COULD be a Track a Week month, BUT I also want to put some polish on some of my SoundCloud tracks and put them out on Spotify and such. In addition to that I want to put out a ThassChill Vol. 2 by the end of the year, too...

Can't Stop Won't Stop

Happy New Year! This is one of the new tracks on my album POTENTIAL, releasing this weekend. I'm releasing it to coincide with my Jamnuary 2025 entries where I will, once again, be submitting one track a day for two weeks as part of Seed2Stage's community Jamnuary competition!

POTENTIAL will mostly have higher quality tracks of my Soundcloud releases from last year, as well as a few improved Jamns from last year. There are also a few new tracks, this one being one of them.

FN AMAZIN

Howdy howdy, how y'all doin? Been a minute since last year, huh? This is a track I slapped together in roughly 3 hours, so it's not as "tight" as I'd like it. This will definitely be one I expand on in the future, possibly add a jungle section in it. If you were expecting anything involving a Billy D., I sorely apologize.

Beyond that: since it's the weekend I had some more time to put this one together. I kinda wanted to go the opposite direction from yesterday, and typically I'll try to do something I don't normally do during Jamnuary. Yesterday's track is one of my few tracks I feel like I hit the DnB itch I've been searching for for a while, today I wanted to explore more chill sounds without going too fast or hard. Now that I think about it, if I were to expand on this I'd do more with the transitions and add a heavy drum and bass section at the end...

Some experimental guitar with a house type beat isn't something I've heard before, so I gave it a shot in this track. Found some interesting vocal samples and the rest is history...

-2025- JAMN #3 - The Power Of Jamn

What is UP everyone? I've been listening to yesterday's Jamn for a bit and I must admit...I may have phoned that one in. I think Jamn 5 or 6 was my "easy" one last year. I was dealing with no sleep and a hangover. But those are just excuses! EDIT: I take it back! It slaps! 

I bring to you today some of my top effort! If you can't tell I've been trying to utilize my BBC Orchestra VST throughout the challenge, and this one is no different. The main thing that helped me with constructing this one is: MIDI! I tried not to make it too repetitive by changing octaves and such, but you can hear a clear pattern throughout.

-2025- JAMN #4 - Jamn Bruh. Just Jamn.

This time I'm getting in early! I have a B side I'm working on for tomorrow that borrows some elements from this one, but is a WHOLLY different song! I'm exited for it because I think almost everyone will enjoy it. 

THIS one, though, THIS is one of my ONLY tracks with words throughout more than half of it. When I was putting this together it just fit so...GOOD I couldn't NOT* have it! So, if you're a Thassodar purist, and you don't like vocals, don't skip this one. "It's FIRE!" - says Jamndo

With that being said: Thanks to everyone who listened all the way up to now! I'm not very good with my socials since I do have a full time job as well, but I do appreciate when I get comments and messages, even though sometimes I don't say much.

We're at it once again with JAMN # 6! This one goes completely bonkers about 40 seconds in, and I cannot be any more pleased with the outcome. BY FAR this was my favorite one to make this week, and I've listened to it nearly a million times (give or take). I haven't done a Latin inspired track since Can't Stop Won't Stop on my latest album! -2025- JAMN # 7 - It's A Jamn Disaster

How's it going? What are you up to? How has your day been? Take a minute to chill with my "Slo" Jamn for today. I wasn't feeling as aggressive this time, maybe I got it out all yesterday? The mixing on that one was a bit all over at the beginning, but I'll fiddle with that when Jamnuary is over. This track isn't actually slow, per se, but it's a step back from the fast beats I've been mixing with lately. 

ONE WEEK DOWN? Already? Only 6 more? Well damn. Guess I better get on the next one! In the meantime keep my new album, POTENTIAL, on repeat until further notice!

-2025- JAMN # 8 - Slo JAMN

This is a collaboration between Blakk Mambo (from ThassChill Vol. 1 track Grand Design), Josh B. (from Final Boss most recently, on POTENTIAL), and Ron A. (from Rules Broken, also ThassChill Vol 1.) all together with some crazy samples I've procured over the years. Ron and Mambo's parts were recorded earlier today, so this whole thing could use a little polish! I hope you enjoy!

-2025- JAMN # 9 - Carpet Disco Jamn

This is a little breather in-between polishing the other collab thing we whipped up yesterday, but I made this all within the last few hours. For the entirety of the 5 years I've been making music I've been using samples from Ian Chang. This track uses a lot of sounds from his Metal Structures sample pack that has all kinds of unusual percs and sounds in it. One of my very first released tracks, Obtuse Riddim, used almost all samples from one of his packs. 

Anyway, just wanted to shout out to him and his creativity fueling my creativity. If you haven't by now, GO LISTEN TO POTENTIAL MY NEW ALBUM FOR 2025!

-2025- JAMN # 10 - What's The Jamn Idea?

Hey what's up? This is the 2nd collab with Blakk Mambo and Ron A. from this weekend, and it's all original. Ron on the keys for the funny horn sound and the "choir" effects, and Blakk Mambo on the bass naturally. The arrangement and all other sounds, beats, and "magic" were provided by yours truly. If I were to continue with this one I'd definitely work on the transitions and maybe take more time to flesh it out, but here we are for now.

Going back to kinda JAMNdo vibes on this one, but I'm excited for the last two. Tomorrow I have a session with one of my favorite drum and bass artists, and hopefully he'll teach me something I can apply on the remaining tracks! There's also the chance of another collab with Blakk Mambo, and who's to say I won't go beyond #14...

To be completely honest some of these are ideas I may flesh out for ThassChill Vol. 2, set ideally for release in March. I'll still be putting out tracks, but I really want to sit down and pull some people into Vol. 2 so it's even better. Expect more D&B and Jungle tracks soon...

Alright this is the first ever official remix I've released of any of my tracks, and it's like the 3rd track I ever made and released. I had the honor of having Blakk Mambo over once again, and I just let him cook on this one until it was just right. I added a lot of mastering and dynamics that I've learned over the past few years, so the track should be sounding fresher all around compared to 3-4 years ago when I made it.

Hey everyone! First off I want to thank everyone who stuck around and listened to all of my Jamnuary tracks! Those two weeks took a lot out of me, and I've come to realize that I have a LARGE collection of unreleased tracks. With all of these tracks on my mind it is sometimes difficult to think of anything new, when I have no feedback on what is already mostly done.

That is why I'm starting my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks. While putting these up I'm going to continue working on ThassChill Vol. 2, and this track in particular may end up on that EP/Album!

If you made it this far: again thank you for listening and being a fan, I'm hoping these next couple of days as you listen to some of the tracks that I thought weren't releasing, you may find something that connects with you. Please let me know so I know what's worth working on. Some of them go back to 2021 when I was just starting, but I'll try to keep the best ones for the weekend.

[E.S.C. PROJECT] 01 - Soft and Slow

I'm still into my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks. 

The story behind this one is when I was trying to get a successor to Latin, Ho! That track was my first track to ever hit over 100 plays, and it also was the 3rd or 4th track I ever made. I stopped working on it in 2022, and it has been sitting on my hard drive since.

[E.S.C. PROJECT] 02 - Learn the Language

Welcome back to my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks.

The story for this one is: this is actually the FIRST version of Midnight Mirage that I came up with, vocals and everything. I do not speak French, but someone provided a loose translation that ensured me that they weren't saying anything crazy.

 I don't typically have tracks with words though, and initial feedback from close associates were more leaning to it without vocals, so I modified it to the version that is now on the POTENTIAL album. With the vocals included, though, I think the ebb and flow, and the crescendos, make a lot more sense. 

Tomorrow I'll have another, I have A LOT of unreleased tracks that are all kinds of different genres so, if today's thing isn't your thing, check back tomorrow! I still haven't updated

[E.S.C. PROJECT] 03 - Midnight Mirage (FR Version)

Continuing again with my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks.

The story for this one: Back in September of 2023 I was really leaning into the Splice Stacks feature they added at the time, and a few of the samples here were from one of those tests. I never really released it because, generally, I don't put out high energy tracks like this a lot. I'd love to, but sometimes my brain needs a break from it, too. I shelved it and now you get to hear it! 

Let me know if you like it, if you're keeping track this is #4 so tomorrow will be something different! It may be shorter, it may be mixed differently, and it could have VOCALS again! Believe it or not I'm not anti-vocals, I just don't NEED vocals to get the point across. I've got oohs and ahhs over the years in some tracks but I digress...

[E.S.C. PROJECT] 04 - Choices that Remain

After a few days delay (sorry!) we're back to my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks.

The story behind this one: I came up with this around the same time I came up with Dance With Me/Whatchudoin', and if I were to spin the Whatchudoin' side into it's own separate track, this would likely be the intro for that track. If you listen to the samples I used in it, they're very similar to the samples in Whatchudoin'. I think this was originally made around May 2024. 

Unlike #04 this track is very chill. Because I was slacking the past few days I'll go on a little bit of overdrive to catch up. Look for another E.S.C. drop later today!

[E.S.C. PROJECT] 05 - Clear the Waters

Hey what's up! Here's another one for my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks.

The story for this one: I am a big fan of Underworld and his song Pearl's Girl. In 2022 I was feeling a little experimental and came up with this track which, in my mind, had similarities to Pearl's Girl, hence the name "Pearl's Day". I don't know the history, or meaning, behind the original track's name choice, but it still remains one of my favorite tracks of all time. It has been shelved, nearly complete, since 2022! But I revive it here today for you!

More to come in the morning, perhaps a abandoned collab project with @Jbril from Final Boss, In Dub We Trust, and so many more.

[E.S.C. PROJECT] 06 - Pearl's Day

Here's another one for my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks.

The story for this one: About a year ago me and @Jbril got together and put down various tracks. ALL of the guitar parts are just him playing on top of himself and the drum beat, which I provided. I did some editing of the audio and set up the drum samples, but everything else is all him. It was a banger then, IMO, and it goes pretty hard now, but it was never "release worthy". We actually recorded this BEFORE Final Boss (you can hear that here: https://soundcloud.com/thassodar/final-boss-dawn-of-destruction-1), but Final Boss was too fire to just sit on. 

The GOOD news is we're in talks to possibly revisit this one VERY soon, with his new gear...
