I had originally found these guys on a dumpster dive for synth pop and shoegaze acts that weren’t mainstream. This was 2018. The song was always foreboding… In a nostalgic way. The feeling you get when you know something isn’t gonna last but you’re trying to Debbie down yourself out of the moment, you just keep trucking. Long story short, I got engaged 2019… She was taken away from me, her daughter and this plane of life in November of 2020… Leanne loved Hers… And in a twisted morbid yet beautifully ironic way, this song to me… Is Hers. Because it forever reminds me of What Once Was… & She was tragically killed by a drunk driver… This song helps me find closure to pain that never eases
