BIG SALAD - MACARENACID

E2-E4 is an instrumental 59 min track recorded live and in one take by Manuel Göttsching in his Berliner studio the December 12, 1981 and released 3 years later in 1984. This influential album will have truly marked electronic music and repetitive/progressive composition.
Parisian disc-jockey and art director Marius, obsessed by this track since he discovered it, reworked the track by editing it in a shorter format trying to faithfully transpose the progressive side of the original piece, and added a bass (TB303), a beat and percussion instruments.

E2-E4 est un morceau instrumental de 59 min enregistré en direct et en une fois par Manuel Göttsching dans son studio berlinois le 12 décembre 1981, et sorti 3 ans plus tard, en 1984. Cet album mythique aura marqué la musique électronique et la composition répétitive, progressive, couche par couche. 
Le disc-jockey et directeur artistique parisien Marius, que ce morceau obsède depuis sa découverte, a ici retravaillé le morceau en l’éditant dans un format plus court tout en essayant de retranscrire au mieux le côté progressif du montage original, et y a ajouté une basse (TB303), un beat et des percussions.

Starting the year strong, Leeds based producer Pads Of Hue has been working hard behind the scenes to get his own vinyl only imprint 'Friends Of Hue' up and running. Focusing on organically grown collaborations, the label is set to produce a really interesting mix of music and artwork in the coming year. 

Taken from the “Raise It' EP, 'Hansa' delivers a hearty dose of analog goodness. A catchy bassline glues things together during this downtempo affair. A rare glimpse of what’s under the hood is given when filter envelopes are pulled open to reveal bright, resonant squelches and squeaks. Lovely!
