Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore IX, the Aborted Genocide ending, details an ending in which a bored and jaded Frisk decided to kill absolutely everyone with the exception of a monster or two near the end of their journey, just to see what would happen. Alphys has no choice but to take over, and the Underground has morphed into a semi-industrialized society motivated by pure aggression and vengeance. Humans are to be treated as...well, take a wild guess.

Undyne takes the role of Asriel. She fought valiantly against the genocidal human, but in the end even her power was not enough. However, she bought Alphys vital time to evacuate the others, and for that she is remembered as a hero; a hero who died for what she believed in. It was after her death that it became clear there was no turning back.
