Disinformation by Darrell Vernum. The master tapes at Hyland Studios were lost after a flood or stolen/misappropriated and this was something that haunted Darrell until the end.

Disinformation

These are songs written by Darrell Vernum that another artist on SoundCloud feels entitled to claim as 'originals' while performing live or when posting their 'Original Rock' cover versions to SoundCloud. 

Ironically, I was at an OOB (Our Other Brother) show at Wolf's Hollow down the street from my house and I think they might have played an original song, but when my ears perked up for some 'Original Blues' announced by their so called leader, the band played 'I Could Be Wrong' another 100% Darrell Vernum composed track no one else on the planet has a writing credit for - except Darrell Vernum. Darrell, when alive, and his Dad after he passed away were paranoid about someone stealing his work so it is ironic that someone who actually knew and played with him has the audacity to use this terminology when attempting to honor his memory by covering his songs in public. Stolen valor that upsets me greatly to my core and unfortunately no shits are given for how I feel about the topic.

The playlist image is an 'all rights reserved' copyrighted image (used with permission) from Darrell's closest visual arts collaborator, Jude Goldman, who also was ignored after requesting he be given proper credit for his work through me. OOB seem to have a habit of using his images and not letting anyone know the art is the work of professional photographer, Jude Goldman - go figure.

I Will Take My Time, Helpless Again, All Your Friends, and Pure Blue showcase Darrell's second to none, top notch mixing and mastering skills. Even The Killers, Begs 'N Achin', Consequences, and Restless were digital and of fairly low sound quality, but I managed to get them a bit cleaner. Gone Back and The Clock were from audio cassettes and are the roughest - I will look for better versions but it was amusing hearing my wah pedal rhythm guitar on The Clock. Some of Darrell's former collaborators deemed his recorded versions of his work were worthless due to poor sound quality, but clearly they have something special as thousands of plays happened on several tracks after their release in full band (Sense) form or DrD, solo Darrell Vernum form. Closer confidants / collaborators of Darrell Vernum felt, as I do, that his versions have merit and need to be heard.

The Originals

Darrell Vernum passed 5 years ago and 2 weeks later Cathedral 54 was torn down with his father who has also now passed away. Core tracks here are Christmas music D recorded for the Mann and Austin family's that he never mailed after burning to CDs which were on his desk as if about to be sent.
