Duties While I Noodie (Dear Baby by VPN'Sync Remix)

Around 10 years ago, I found this track and it resonated deep with me. I had a moment in life where I could take two paths, become an engineer and have basically a guaranteed income or follow my dream of making art and suffering through the challenges of scarcity.

I've been slowly making the hard push of creating more music and honing in my production skills. I often play bangers because that's the slot I'm booked for but love putting together more downtempo mixes.

I wanted to share this because I had a weekend of feeling like my dreams were coming to fruition. Like this silly, unlikely plan was beginning to take shape. I played one of my own produced songs in a set, which was a goal I had set a year ago, and it felt SO GOOD. (more on that later ☺️)

Anyways, I remixed this song as a reminder why I do what I do, and that it's going to always be fucking hard. That with each goal accomplished there are many more unforseen challenges lingering to jump at me. And I do it because it creates a life worth living. I hope this song inspires you to follow your heart, offer compassion for yourself and everyone around you, and to keep trying, especially when the challenges feel unsurmountable.

This one felt really special, reflecting on the journey of finding myself, my family and so much love. Once upon a time, I stumbled upon a curious trap door that lead me down a deep, dark rabbit hole, and out another side was a world I could have never dreamed of. I cried for the first time ever during a set, feeling this wild silly dream actually coming true.

A year ago I promised myself that I would put a track that I made into a set, and to finish that track with my childhood best friend - a song about the humor and wonder of our youth. We've been through so much together, experiencing immense grief and deeply challenging moments. We remind each other that we still have access to that child-like joy, if we seek it out.

To everyone who's supported me along the way, given me an opportunity to play, told me what their experience of my sets were. THANK YOU.

Priceless Wake 'Shake

Dusk faded to darkness, the new moon set over the horizon to reveal a night sky of shining bright stars. A sea of lit up headphones floating and bobbing in the shadow of our spaceship earth. Exploring the deep, the silly, the weird.
