A picture is the past
This kiss is the present
& I hope you let it last 
Because it’d be a shame
if you didn’t make it happen

So open up your eyes
& see beyond the blurry vision
your tears leave when you cry

What rolls down your cheeks
are trails I want to wipe
Cup your face between my hands
& let out a sigh

I want to lose myself
in the never ending darkness of your pupils
Place your hand upon my chest
above my heart
So that you know that every time this heart beats it creates the music that your voice seems to activate
Because when you speak it opens
Allowing to accept your words and touch my inner core

I’d paint a picture full of poetry just so that you could see the words that closest resemble how I feel for you
Because no words could truly describe it all
Brush against the canvas
to flourish colors so vivid
Colors to express your emotions
Cool as ice
& warmth so livid

I hope that when you read this
you can hear my voice speaking off this paper

All I ask for
is a smile back in favor
